I just want to say a few things to those of you that are really new to this, mostly speaking to those of you who can admit to the fact that you are an afc or recovering afc.

It should be no surprise to any of you that the general trend of the community nowadays is towards inner-game. With great resources like tyler durdens blueprint decoded, david deangelos man transformation, and great guys like David Wygant preaching the power of solid inner-game, it's easy to get sucked in by the idea of having strong inner-game. Why shouldn't it? What could possibly be wrong with having a strong personality, good frame control, and being more assertive? Nothing. Nothing at all.

The problem I have with it is that the community isn't composed of just one type of person. Some people starting here are relatively well-adjusted socially, and are half-decent with people already. This is fine, inner game may be something they are ready for. But as much as the community talks about the guys at the other end of the spectrum (and as many of us that claim to be one of these guys) we sure do ignore the needs of those people. Some of the guys are here because they are not socially adjusted at all. They are not at all good with people or women, and have come here for help.

It's difficult for me to word what I mean but i'm going to try my best. When a guy comes here for advice having no prior knowledge on how to socialize (and more importantly flirt and attract women) and asks real questions, and gets answers that are the equivalent of telling him he's awesome and to act like it, it kind of pisses me off. Inner-game is great for people who either already are, or have become socially adjusted. But when somebody comes here and needs to start from the ground up, they need more than just motivational words.

The problem is that the general trend of the community seems to be to bash mystery method or what have you (pretty much any other approach to structured game.) This is usually because for those of you who have achieved some level of social adjustment, structured game isn't really necessary anymore. Flirting comes a little more naturally and no framework is required.

But with the insane amount of social programming and pressures in todays society, beginners need a framework. Yet they come here and tend to get immediately steered towards material on inner-game, which is a relatively complex subject that will do somebody with little to no social experience no good.

All I'm saying is that we all start this journey at different skill levels. It's important to not hold everybody to the same standard and assume that inner-game is the best path. We need to acknowledge the fact that some people need to start at inner-game, and others structured. Just try to keep this in mind next time somebody asks for advice. Rather than just tell them to go out there and be themselves, be strong, be awesome or whatever, tell them about qualifiers and to try to use a couple and see what happens. Give them a few little things to try, maybe even an order in which to try them and have them do it.

When I say "we" I am not referring to anybody in particular. Also, this is more of a post of my thoughts, that I would love to hear everybodys thoughts on. It's something that's been bothering me a lot lately and I feel that it's holding back the progress of a lot of people who genuinely need help here.

tl:dr we all start out different, some people should start structured and arent ready for inner-game, we can't keep treating everybody like they start out the same.
