I never rely on dating apps. In a year I only got 2-3 meetups from them. I objectively rate myself as 7/10 so I think if you’re not high up there, it’s not gonna be useful to always stay there watching your fish rod hoping someone will take your bait. I will just leave it.

In fact I do cold approach quite often, much easier to get a date/ sex than dating apps. 3D interaction is where all my advantages at. No matter how much and how often people give me advices (you need to change this pic, that pic, change your bio/profile, make it sound more fun -which I did all that), at the end of the day it’s all 2D where I can’t have optimal presentation of myself.

PS: and don’t think too much of likes. They’re just like upvotes/downvotes here on reddit. Doesn’t mean anything, doesn’t translate to getting women to bed.

I've dated some attractive women from online dating and they all say they got over 8k likes in their first week on just one of the apps. This means MOST of your success will be pure luck due to timing and if the algorithm happens to show you to her. One of my first successful tinder matches a while back turned out had almost 70k Instagram followers and after we went on a few dates and I discovered that I reverse image searched her pics and discovered she's one of the insta models that gets used for fake bot accounts lol.

It depends on the girl and her mood. It's A LOT like job hunting. Some companies are just keeping an eye open and wasting your time because they don't care about hiring right away. Others are more eager to hire and will be more likely to match and want to meet up for the date (mostly new users on the app that you can usually filter)

As a new user you'll be shown to more girls or if you go to a different area. The boosts are rigged and only work in batches. I've used the super boost on hinge that boosts for 24 hrs (allegedly) and I'll go 8 hrs with zero likes... then get several within 3 minutes... then none again... then I'll get a ton more literally minutes before the boost is over. So they rig it like gambling and loot boxes to try to trick you into spending money.

The answer will always be:

under all circumstances you need an attractive profile. “I’m not ugly I’ve dated very beautiful women who” yea shut up. How you think you look or what you said obviously means nothing. You need an attractive presence represented in both photos and prompt. I’m not very good looking yet I pull off the apps.
once you have that, you typically need to pay to avoid the queue lines

Dating apps are not for lower value men who think they’re better than what the app matches you with. If you’re not that, then show it. They can be hyper convenient for setting up dates with people you can vet. Especially if you live a busy life style

It’s just the algorithm at this point, not you. Stay away from the apps. Go to bars, go to library’s, keep your posture open and keep looking women in the eye, smile, nod for approval of how good looking they are. Either approach or continue to be occupied. It’s better naturally when it happens.

It’s always the same problems: photos suck and boring prompts/bio

You can post a grainy photo of you taken on a Nokia flip phone from 2003 and still get a ton of likes in LATM

for everywhere else you need good photos above all else

If you have a good profile online dating is shooting fish in a barrel and you can land 10-20+ dates in a month if you want to

Things take time, could be weeks or months to see any results from dating apps. Remember it has nothing to do with you, that’s just how things are sometimes.

Is "back home" a place with less population density? Lots of factors influence success on dating apps. How you look in real life is but a small factor - so you should not take a lack of matches personally. There are just so many variables at play. Seasonality, between-app competition etc.

A) Conventionally attractive

B) Have status (like you’re a Dr or something)

C) Rich

You will only get a decent amount of matches if you fill out some that criteria, I fill out A and B and I don’t really need to try and find people outside the apps, they work for exactly what they are intended for.

Damn i can get 1 date every single day on dating apps, but in my 20s I didn't realize how handsome I was so I feel for all the men who never get matches or dates. I'd just kill myself if I realized I wasn't desirable.
