Yeah lol think of: Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Timothée Chalamet - I mean, these guys, if we didn’t know who they were, can definitely come off as gay sometimes… yet they make bitches wetter than their shower head.

[–]Sabres26 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Do you have a feminine voice?
[–]Travis_Varga 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ask the girls why they think so, it could be a number of things.
[–]bonix 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Girls have assumed that of me often as I have a bit of a feminine personality and energy. Something I've accepted and embraced. When I was single it really helped stand out at shows/clubs when talking to women. I can't even count how many times I took their attention away from beef heads saying cheesy pick up bs to them and ending up with their number or more. I still get asked that even after marrying a beautiful women, people are weird.
The worst thing you can do is try to change who you are because of what other people think.

I’m going to give you this from angle that will show you this is actually a good thing . The fact that women think you’re gay will work in your advantage in life. The term is metrosexual. Which basicly mean you have a style and a image that says . I’m clean, I shower , I care about my appearance . I know how to match my clothes and I smell pleasant . It shows you are more then ripped up jeans and a dirty t-shirt guy. Eventually you will start attracting a higher caliber of woman . Anyone who call you gay or assumes you are because of your style or the way you look. Is the same people who believe the world is flat. The one thing woman and men admire about gay men is they work hard to look the best they can. Dress the best they can and to have the best style possible . I’m assuming you don’t act flamboyant. Im guessing it’s because of your clean cut look and the way you dress. Take pride in your style and the way you look. Who cares what some woman or women think. Take it as a compliment . Be secure with your sexuality . Look good always and those who say stupid shit and the ones who are stupid . Metro sexual mean stylish man not gay man . But take a tip from gay men . They can dress and they work hard to have a clean stylish appearance.

Lol umm no. Op probably just acts and sounds femine but is not good looking enough. I dress really metrosexual and only had one woman hating on me asking if I was gay.
[–]renegade453 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I mean do u have the desire to be more "manly" to fight it off?
[–]mrgraie 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lmao. I received the same impression as well. It mostly happened when I was cleanly shaved.
[–]Kmyrvang 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This happened to me just a week ago last time. It can be hard to ask the women too because perceptions are often so subconscious. She said it was something about my smile. Idk. I do dress in tailored suit pants, tight white T-shirt, with matching black leather shoes, belt and Armani watch, the last two with silver metal, and I sit with a straight posture. But I wouldn't be surprised if I give off some feminine vibes having been raised by a single mother. It does bother me a bit. I think we'd all like to be seen as masculine alphas.
[–]zx91zx91 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Judging from your profile pic, you look like the average gay. Wouldn’t have even considered you a straight man.
[–]shadesofparadise 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Same here! I've asked why, and girls usually say something like "because you're good looking and outgoing".
Definitely own it. Girls are usually happy to find out you're straight after hanging out for a bit wondering.
Growing a well-trimmed beard or stubble helps balance it out and add some masculine energy.

Why are you gay?

Are u low test? Or do you do things that can be considered low test?
[–]dumsaint 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've been told I have a kind-tired face and some women dig that. As if I've experienced shit - everyone has I suppose - and it didn't pull me down.
Be a dude that's heard it and shrugs and asks, "So you don't want these lips on you then, cool?"
[–]puma085 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Have you ever tried to ask the women why they think that? There could be many reasons for that. Maybe you look or behave like gays behave in the head of these women. Prejudice is still pretty strong in the head of some people. Or it could also be a total different reason.
[–]Cool_Diesel 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ask them why they think that. It could be a number of reasons. Do you talk with a sort of lisp?
[–]Zebrahead033 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I've gotten this twice. Once at the gym. There was a group of women who decided to workout around me. I think it was 4 of them. They were bending over in front of me and taking selfies and what not.
I guess they assumed I would be staring at them or try and talk to them and I didn't. The truth is I thought they were gross and annoying. 2 of them weren't bad looking but they were so trying too hard and they were just so loud and laughing at every little thing. They we're like a group of hyenas with rabies who were high on cocaine. But I could hear one of them mention the gay thing to another when they saw I wasn't interested.
The 2nd time this happened was in line at the checkout counter at the groceries. I eat healthy. Very rarely will I ever buy junk food. Anyways this fat lady behind me makes the comment that I eat like a women. (Clearly not her though because she was a fat person who clearly doesn't put effort into her health, fitness or appearance) And then said the maybe he's gay.
Haters gonna hate.
[–]YoDaddy1069 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I couldn’t help but laugh. So many times in my life, women have attention whored so hard and just because I refused to notice they assumed I was gay.
[–]singlecellfromearth 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just fyi that group of 4, at least in my experience they are being loud/taking selfies/laughing in an attempt to draw your attention. Regardless of if it works or not (similar to guys approaches) the intent is still to be, "Hey, look at me! Don't we look fun and outgoing?"
Speaking of haters hating though... Haha 😂
[–]fondlemysausage 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Lol, more than a few of us have gone through this, it seems.
God forbid you remotely take care of yourself in any way and are relaxed around anyone. No flamboyance or anything.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The thing is I live in Florida so it’s hard to come across straight men that take care of their appearances and are effeminate, which is exactly how I like men. Super sad. 😔
[–]RocketTheGod 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I have the opposite problem hehe
[–]singlecellfromearth 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why do you think that is? I always love me some "pretend gay" banter but no one ever believes me 😭
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Looks matter a lot. So you have a masculine appearance. When you talk, do you talk in a lower tone or more high pitched. Do you act in a more masculine or a platonic or friendly way around women?
[–]RPslimjim -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You’re not masculine. It’s simple.
[–]boynamedmad -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Used to happen with me all the time. Nothing wrong with you or being perceived as such. It can be a benefit with women being more comfortable around you.
[–]WanyCaleb 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's like friend zone or something but worse
[–]Istayonredditjsjsjs 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm sure you're just looking mire taken care if then her . She's just saying the opposite of what she really feels
[–]mightymite88 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
same*. i consider it an asset. they usually feel more comfy with queer people. just make sure you signal intent properly and you'll be fine.
*to be fair i am ace and nonbinary, but not gay.

It literally means that you give off ZERO masculine vibes
[–][deleted] 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
[–]RPslimjim 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If you try to look more masculine you tend to be more masculine. Get in the gym get strong. Hang out with masculine guys. Over time you’ll come off as more masculine and it should help with the anxiety. I’m introverted as well abs the gym really helped my anxiety.
[–]YoDaddy1069 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
For some reason, a lot of girls ask me if I’m bi. Idk why. I think of myself as a decently masculine guy, but it happens anyway. Don’t give it too much thought
[–]unfinity2 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sometimes this ends up being a good thing as sometimes they’ll get really intrigued if they really like you on a personal level, then they find out your Hetero.
[–]Calamity__Bane 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They’re probably picking up on your disinterest and/or lack of nerves.
[–]keytarna 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That’s good man. Girls love gay guys. As long as you tell them you’re straight you’re in there
[–]stanthemilkman88 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And then what happen?
