Something like that happened with me. I was in college and saw this girl I had seen few weeks earlier during admission process. I casually went to her and asker her if she remembered seeing me there and she said no. I asked some more details after introduction like her major and other stuff. Then I forgot about her and few weeks later she approached me and later asked my number. We never dated because I wasn't interested but I hope she asks for your number too.
