There's a stereotype (and sorta reality) that engineers are super nerdy and introverted with very crap social skills. Which, unsurprisingly, describes me very well. Girls are repelled by this and I'm fully aware of that. I'm boring, shy, nerdy, only work on things that would help my career, scared of initiating conversations in real life, scared of pretty girls, blah blah.

But I wanna change!

Are there any engineers out here who have had success in improving their social life or are in the process of improving, or are there any people who know engineers who improved or helped them improve. I would love to hear from you because I'm bored of myself now.

I have given this a deep thought and I know exactly what is going wrong and why I am socially awkward. But not for too long because I'm sick of this and will prove that I can change.
