Fast & easy? Nope! So do it carefully.

Notes, pictures: Either copy it into a USB flash drive, or get TrueCrypt (www.truecrypt.org), create an encrypted container, and put everything in there. If you're not sure about using TrueCrypt, having the backup on USB flash drive would be advisable.

Porn: depending on her, just leave it there, or also put it in USB/TrueCrypt.

Browser histories/bookmarks can be exported into files, also save that on USB/TC, and then clean your browser.

The separate user account is probably the best route.

I personally haven't really girl-proofed my computer. I recently got a program though (I think it's called Secure II - similar to TruCrypt) that lets you create encrypted DRIVES that you can mount or unmount with a password. That's mega-handy.
For a similar quick fix if you have everything on a separate drive, you can use the Command Prompt program diskpart.exe to hide drives. Or just unplug the drive inside your desktop.

All I can say from experience is the worst thing a girl can ever find is folders containing people you know. Jealousy trumps even scat.

Of all the advice on how to hide your shit, I think truecrypt is probably the best option. I'm sure you can figure it out. If not, there's youtube. Easier wold be to just put all that stuff on a Flash Drive or external HDD. Stick it in the drawer somewhere and leave it alone.

From another point of view, don't be so quick to sanitize your PC. I don't think most girls these days expect you to never watch porn or have pictures of old GFs. It's probably ok to have pictures of you with different attractive girls. That's social proof.

For the porn, I might even leave some carefully chosen videos on there. Hell, research some women-friendly titles and put a few of those on there. If you have mountains of porn, that's a different story.

If you're really serious about this, change the file extensions of the files you don't want her to see to something strange like .jmjm or something like that. That way, no programs will read them, and you'll have no problem. You can change the extensions back afterward.

Alternatively, you could change the all of the images to .txt and all of the documents to .png, so it's less suspicious, but they still won't be able to be opened.

Use Linux for starters. Make her a separate user account.

Put security permission on any folder you don't want her to see with:

chmod 600 <folder>

The folders will not even be visible to her so you can name them whatever you want.

Alternatively, make another user, hide your main user or rename it to "System" or "Default PC" and call the new one by your name.
