You don't need any material possession for social proof, you need solid alpha male friends.

I live in a 300 square foot one bedroom apartment. No bathroom, no kitchen, just a bed, a couch and a computer desk. I have no car, no fat wallet, no designer clothes. I nail women all the time and have never once heard or even felt that this was an issue.

With regards to what this chick said to you, just remember that women are always convinced that every other woman on the planet is a gold digging, use em and lose em slut, waiting to pounce on the next rich dick she can find. They all truly believe this. If they all believe it, but they also all believe they are the exception, how much weight do you think it carries?

If you think that a car automatically means value, you might devolve into lame "hey babe, check out my watch/car" guy. And, if a car is a deal breaker for her, then she's not the kind of girl you want anyway.

Unfortunately in America, you are an extension of your car. I knew a guy who drove a beater car for various reasons; no car payments, cheap on gas, dependable, and mostly he never really cared and viewed it as just transportation.

He went on a date with some chick and when they got to the restaurant and pulled into a space near the front door. She wanted him to park in the back lot. She made some lame excuse why, can't remember. But it was clear she was embarrassed to be seen getting out of his car in front of a really nice restaurant. He promptly drove to the back of the lot, out the back entrance of the lot, and took her home. Never called her again.

My personal experience with cars and chicks, is the car might get their attention, but you still need skills to close the deal. I tooled around in a 72' MGB for a couple of years. Great car, lot of fun to drive, expensive to maintain. But it did not increase my success with chicks. The best chick I went with didn't give a fuck what I drove, she was into me not the car.

Expensive cars attract expensive girl friends.

i have a nice sports car. in conversation with women i never bring it up. girls dont even know i have a car until/if i go to pick them up. then they always comment wow that looks fast. i just reply thanks. i love my car and could talk about it for hours, but it's too easy to sound like im bragging.. so thanks is all i say. i would not say i have gotten laid specifically because of my car.

i think it's much more important to keep your car clean, inside and out. waxed and vacuumed.

car guys would all agree those two car choices are pretty shitty. but if you're buying brand new and you keep it clean. not many girls will know the difference. but if i had to get rid of my z for a shitty car i would go for a new hyundai elantra.

by shitty i mean slow and unimpressive.

I can't tell you the number of times I've had women compliment my car.

I drive a mid-2000s Corolla, for reference.

Granted, I've made a few tasteful upgrades, but the point is - it's hardly a fancy car, and it's hardly flashy.

That being said, nearly all the women complimenting my car were already on their way home with me, so there's that. The car didn't get them on their way home with me. It may have raised my value even further, but it isn't what got me laid.

I got me laid.

Having a decent (don't mistake that with flashy) car that is kept clean and neat and smells good inside is worth more than having a really slick car that isn't. Funnily enough, an old Jetta with faded paint and nicked alloys is probably gonna be worth less than a Fit. But if you're getting a small car, get one with a personality. How about a Fiat 500?

I used to have a BMW and a Miata. Yeah I got plenty of looks (from both girls and guys lzololzlzolzllls), but your cars don't start getting you laid until you get to real high-roller territory. Girls can tell when you've spent a lot on your car, and that's probably the point where they expect you to spend a lot on them as well. Fuck that.

Buy the car for you not for the women. If you are a car enthusiast, and its something you're passionate about, then I think you should express that passion. But the same goes for anything you own, if you enjoy it then its ok to express interest. Never do it expecting to get laid.

IMO it doesn't really matter but I'm a girl so cars don't matter to me. I could not tell you what kid of cars my ex boyfriends drove. One drove.... a blue car, another was like a ford or a honda or something. But you get extra points if you car is clean (cause it's a good sign if you take care of your stuff), environmentally friendly (hey, this guy cares about the earth!), or is a great quality car (hey this guy appreciates a German made car - he likes good quality and dependable items instead of just flashy toys. Oh good, he isn't a manchild).

I've had a 'Vette, an Eclipse Spyder GT, and a BMW Z4. None of those cars have gotten me laid. A few girls have thought they were cool, but by the time she's getting into my car, she's basically already made her mind up about sleeping with me.

I tell girls I drive a small open-top peugeot. They see me on my peugeot moped the next day, but i haven't personally found it makes a difference.
