The excuse she gives you doesn’t matter. What matters is she is not attracted to you. The excuse is irrelevant if she were attracted she would just do it even if you were older.

So the problem here is that you didn’t seduce her during the approach, you weren’t there to negotiate and close the deal with having a solid connection and without triggering any attraction during the approach.

So it’s not about overcoming an age excuse, it’s about connecting and seducing her during the approach which you are not gonna do by approaching a girl and asking her out immediately.

If she is not feeling a connection and attraction the asking for a date or a number is not gonna go anywhere.

Of all the girls you will meet in the next few years, some will have various objections (including age), real or (quite often) imaginary. To a certain extend the objections are irrelevant (to you). You want the girls you want, and that's that, go after them unapologetically. There is an an endless supply of pretty girls with no objections that would love to be taken out and caressed by you tonight.

Side note here, don't say to a girl "I'm chill if you don't want to meet, but if you change your mind let me know". Don't setup yourself for such vagueness. I recall one time meeting a gorgeous half Portuguese, when I asked for her # she insisted on giving me her email. I was like, I'm leaving for Greece next month, I like you and I definitely want to take you out so it's either going to happen in the next few days or it won't at all. Give me your number, it'll be ok, I promise I don't bite. She gave her number and we had fun. Make sure you realize and burn it in your head that there is an endless supply and no point to wasting your time and effort.

Practically now, don't react to a girl qualifying you (how tall are you, how old are you?) or to objections (too short, too old etc). You can choose to play along and state your age, or you can choose to deflect, eg ask her age. 19? really? I could be your dad, I'm 55. You are totally a baby, but a cute one. Haha. Play and don't take what they say too seriously. Her subconscious mind will pickup on the "this guy doesn't care" and "this guy has lots of choice" sub-communication. Of course it's much better when you actually have lots of choice, but if you are not there yet, put on the training wheels. Faking it til you make it works, but remember, it's just to get things going - there is no substitute for actual success. Keep improving yourself, and I'm not talking about pickup, but do go out there and practice a lot too.

For this specific 19yo girl, if it was me, I'd put her in my long-shot rotation. I would absolutely not text her, just intermittently and infrequently call after work while driving (only when feeling A+) and with absolutely no plan of what to say, just a quick call to check how miss beautiful X (I'd go all theatrical and over the top) is doing. Be prepared to leave similar unprepared unscripted VM with no request to meet. If your vibe is amazing, non-needy and fun, some eventually pickup. Never mention why they didn't respond, like you didn't notice.

I mean the parallel I like to make is ask yourself, if a Brad Pitt in his 30s approached her would she make the same excuse? Or picture her favorite Hollywood actor approaching her. Would she say oh sorry Bradley Cooper but you’re 31… No, she would pee her pants and drop her shift at Starbucks to go see him the next day. Obviously you’re not Brad Pitt, but why waste energy and time on someone who’s not interested? There’s enough girls out there who are OK with age gaps, some who will be hesitant but give you a chance. You just move on really and approach more.

I have, I made her guess my age after 4 days of talking. So she already liked me and was attracted. I'm youthful, look 25 at most, feel 20. She didn't voice the concern about my age until about 15 days later. Once she did, she asked me why I'm talking to her. When I was 32 I had a 17 year old girl who was really into me. She asked me out for coffee which was cute. She made numerous attempts to seduce me.

In my experience age difference isn't really a thing if girls are really attracted. Girls will play games with you and string you along for their own entertainment. I used to do it willingly because more than often she would find me someone in her circle to date.

The trick is not to play the game if you do you are just wasting time. If she wants you strictly for her entertainment then bail out.
