Lot's 'O gums when you smile? Practice not going as high. Do it a bunch. Your eyes factor into your smile for genuineness as well. Work on that.

You might like this BBC website, Spot the Fake Smile. Somewhere on the BBC site, there is a big article about fake vs real smiles, and it goes into detail about which muscles are activated involuntarily during real smiles. But damm if I can find it. Maybe someone can spot it and report back to tell us the link. There is some detailed information on real vs fake smiles on the wikipedia Smile page, perhaps some of their sources will be of interest.

I actually realized i'm a lot more attractive when I smile, but because of my anxiety I don't smile as much in public.

I think the key would be to genuine. We can unconsciously pick up on an honest signal versus a forced or deceiving smile.

It should feel natural, just like the game you say. If it's not comfortable, it will show.

Good advice. I think we should always have a semi smile on, a lot of people myself included have "bitch resting face" which is slang for a resting facial expression that makes you seem like you are always frowning. I always had people ask me why am I sad, even randoms on the street. Now I am consciously practicing keeping a semi smile on at all times until it becomes habit. Some people get a surgery for it lol:

but I think it can be done just by practice until it becomes unconsciousness habit. I am already noticing people treating me better since I look more approachable and non threatening. And there is also the added benefit of feeling better emotionally by changing my physiology (NLP theory).

Also, on the other end of the spectrum, don't smile all the time. I have this problem and I'm always smirking/smiling. People have told me that they can't tell what I'm thinking or that I'm always joking. So, remember that to make a smile count, make it unique and special. Treat it like a reward for when she does something good for you.

This is absolutely spot on. This is one of my all-time favorite stories:

I was at LAX walking to my gate to catch a flight to Vegas. As I was walking, an old lady passed me by and I politely smiled at her. As I sit down while waiting for boarding, an incredibly busty attractive woman in her 30s sits right next to me and starts making small talk. I notice she has a ring on her finger, so I keep the conversation very respectful, but I put on the charm and make her laugh. We sat by each other on the flight to Vegas, again, I'm thinking there's no chance in hell a beautiful married woman in her 30s would be sexually interested in me, so I continue with the respectful light hearted conversation. During the conversation it turns out we were staying in neighboring hotels, and to my complete shock, she asks if I'd be interested in having drinks with her later on that night. blah blah blah, later on that night we meet for drinks, and I finally asked her why the hell a lady like her was talking to a peasant like me...well unbeknownst to me, she noticed the way I smiled at the old lady at the airport and thought it was the most attractive thing ever.

And oh yeah, we fucked that night.

Something a little bit different: I read somewhere the best way to have the right seductive look in your eyes while smiling at a girl is to imagine you're going to fuck her brains out later. Crooked teeth guy here vouching for the importance of smiling. My teeth aren't terrible by any means, but I get the occasional "Prince Harry" joke from time to time. Unless you have some gnarly hillbilly teeth smiling is always going to be better than you frowning or doing anything else with your face. Just think of a really funny joke, or sing you're favorite song in your head and the smile will be natural. Once you start enjoying social interactions with people shit'll come naturally
