There is no doubt that being a woman in the current dating market is hideously advantegous, especially in online dating. However, there is one reason why I would never want to be one, and that is because being a man carries with it one fundamental privilege that I wouldn't give up for the world.

I get to choose my battles.

Think about it from the perspective of the average woman. You see a guy you like, stuck in your female gender paradigm you need to now get his attention and have him come to you. The reason for this isn't important... What's important is that you're reduced to trying to subtly giving him hints and waiting, begging for him to come to you and initiate a conversation. Glances, smiles, exaggerated giggles and hair flips. All the stupid shit most men don't notice. And if he does? Well chances are you picked a guy who belongs in the top 20% of men and who already has at least three other thirsty #### trying to slide into his dm's. He doesn't care, or doesn't notice, because most people defined as high value have actual lives and places to be.

So, you never know what could have been. It's just one big if after another.

As a man? You see someone who you like the look of? It's not an inappropriate context? Bam, you go in, throw down your words and either get a yes or a no. You may not have a date but you tried your best and have your result. Maybe even an indication towards how you can improve.

Women don't have that. I don't even pity them to be honest. Just like I don't pity a man who dresses up, goes to a bar and is disappointed when only the resident cougar and a fat chick approach him.

The lesson? Learn to approach. It's your biggest advantage.
