Better pro tip. Forget using social media to pick up women and actually go out and pick up women. You'll only get an instagram whore if you spend your time on Tinder or Bumble. Somebody who's more concerned with taking pics for likes than actually enjoying the moment. So get off your phone and go out. You're instantly in an advantageous position if you do that. You hold the power to make things happen. Also, go to a gay bar and try picking up some bisexual women. Almost guarantee you'll get somewhere with someone because most straight guys won't go to those places which means less competition. No abundance of straight guys. Straight/Bisexual women are forced to be less picky. You're suddenly high value because you're one of the only straight guys there who'll fuck those women.

I completely agree with Op. The strategy is wait for them to hopefully message or at like the 22nd hour just extend. Don’t get overly attached to potential matches and only invest in matches who are willing to keep up a decent conversation. My stats are far more sad than other people that have shared but here goes...

Tinder

1000 tinder matches, ~300 real conversations (same as most girls who have to send that first text on bumble), 3 dates/in person meet ups, 1 that lasted longer than 1 meet up

Bumble

~250 matches, 200 led to more than just the 2 text exchange, 4 in person meet ups, 3 lasted longer than a one time thing

I personally hate the “hey” culture but it’s impossible to read what every girl ever expects your first words to be. And first impressions mean everything. That’s why I’ve always loved bumble!

I think online dating in general is an absolute sham.

For someone like me who has been rated a 4 to 5 on the looks scale, online dating doesn't work and I've tried all kinds of dating apps and sites in the past including POF, Tinder, Bumble, Happn, Coffee Meets Bagel, Okcupid, Hinge and even Match.com. On four of those platforms (Match, OKC, POF and Tinder) I even took out premium memberships and tried them for a bit of time - for features that don't help people get dates.

While I've had the most success with Okcupid (before they made terrible changes to the site to make it more like Tinder) I've had no success whatsoever with Bumble, Tinder, Happn or Hinge so far.

Let me know how that goes for you after like 3 months. In my experience, girls are usually too shy to say hey, and bumbles algorithm is pretty shitty. You'll end up with no matches eventually no matter who you swipe on

i use bumble and tinder, only other i used is okc but it's trash
