How would you handle an ex or girl that rejected you before when they tell you that they like you or regret rejecting you?

I suspect she did not really regret rejecting you, but she did have some personal motivation to tell you that. But it is hard to tell from your minimal details.

It doesn't have to be cruel or anything, just respond with a nonchalant, "Oh, really?" Then if she starts qualifying to you (really any response after that that starts with something along the lines of "I just...") you know you can follow up being alpha however you want ie brush her off our go for the close

You don't need to be so passive aggressive about it. While I agree that you made the right move in walking away from the situation, you don't need to be condescending to her. Just say, "Oh well. I guess that time has passed," and move on with the conversation. I've had similar conversations with female friends about how we never hooked up. It all came down to, "The situation just wasn't the best one," at the time. It doesn't mean we have to make up for it now or be butthurt about why it didn't happen.

Honestly bro, it all comes down to what I really want (i.e inner game). What I would do if ask myself if I'm interested. If yes, then the next thing I would want to know is why she changed her mind. So I think I would ask, "oh interesting, well that depends, why do you change your mind?" If I get a real genuine answer that is satisfying, then I'd go for it. If not, then will say sorry, that's not a legit reason for me, and THEN walk away.

I think saying a skillfully rejectful response (like cry me a river) then walking away (with all due respect) is actually kind of weak. It's kind of like "OH YEAH? you rejected me, MY TURN!". I know I'm awesome, and you lost your chance, I don't have to reject you back to redeem myself, instead, I'm curious, and I'm gonna ask why changed your mind, I'll take it if it's interesting, or I don't have to take it, at least I would have found out what things I do change girls' minds about me... Personally, I would be very interested to hear what made her change her mind, let me know if you ever find out!

Not everything needs a response, this is one of those times I'd just ignore what she said and continue on.

Why be so mean to her? That just shows the kid inside of you and now she definitely doesn't regret it anymore.

If you still have feelings for her than hang out with her.

If you don't still have feelings or her tell her that and don't hang out with her.

Don't need to be bitter. That's your own shame coming out.

Honestly? I'd probably meet them for a drink or dinner to catch up. I'd end the date with a deep, passionate kiss and then go about my evening. I'd add her to the list of girls I'm dating and carry on as normal. If she wants something more serious she'll let me know.

The key is to maintain a level-headed frame and keep cool about the situation. I mean, if she genuinely wants to be with you then I don't see why I wouldn't give her a chance. But by no means would I drop everything for her or change my game. But it is important to stay true to yourself.
