You've all heard about the 80/20 rule, and I can attest to you that it is real and true, I have had many opportunity to evaluate it in real life. At times it's 85/15, at times it's 75/25, but the rule still stands.

For those who don't know me on this board yet, I am a former AFC-Nice Guy-shy guy-friendzoned guy. The PUA communuty saves my life, and now I have no problems in that department anymore.

For a while I've been thinking about how the 80/20 applies to seduction, and it does, perfectly. And for the Mr Nice Guys out there, it's worse than you think. Embrace yourself.

For all practicality let's envision a place with 10 girls and 10 guys, the 80/20 rule would say that 20% of the guys would get 80% of the girls. Meaning that 2 guys would hookup with 8 of the women, while the other 8 guys would just remain dry. And that is very true. But, in reality, it's worse, let me explain. It's not like those 2 guys would hook up with 4 girls each, you know those girls, they don't just hook up with 1 guy, so it means that both of those 2 guys, the PUA, will hookup with each one of those 8 girls.

Let's increase the number to 100 girls and 100 guys, the 80/20 rules as described above would mean that each of the 20 guys (the PUAs) would hook up with each of the 80 girls. If you hang around /r/seduction long enough you'll know that it's very normal for:

  • girls to have hooked up with 20 guys

  • PUAs to have hooked up with 80 girls

  • to have 80% of the guys out there desperately seeking to get their dick wet, yet being friendzoned on a regular basis.

But wait! Just when you thought it was bed, it gets even worse. With time those PUA get tired of the same old HB, you know, those 80%, so they start going after that 20%, the nice girls, and the seduction skills are perfect for those girls as well, they just need to be fine tuned a bit with a change of venue, and by devoting a bit more time. So eventually the PUA will be in LTR with that 20% remainder of the pool of 100 good looking girls.

Where does that leave the 80% of the guys? Well, at some point in time those girls in the 80% will hit that 30-something age when they say that their clock is ticking, and they start looking for nerds and nice guys to marry them (I know that, I was one of them). Look into /r/relationships and related subs, you'll see lots of nice guys in marriages and LTR that are not what they, the guys, thought they would be.

So, now the choice is yours: do you want to be part of that 20% or the 80%?
