I have friends who I discuss this future with regularly. It’s looking more and more like the dream scenario as time goes on especially as it is nigh on impossible where we live to buy property as a single person. I’m pretty set on never living with a man again, but living with my friends and raising our kids together sounds amazing.

Ever since I was little I always saw myself as having a "Golden Girls" type of future. Then I bought into the fairytale lie that there are good men out there and got married. I'm happily divorced and very happily single now, and not seeing one single benefit of letting a man back into my life. BTW, one of my best friends lives next door to her good friend, they are both stupidly happy single and have opened up their back yard space so they share one large beautiful garden area. They each take care of each other. Caring for the other's pets when on vacation, they take turns making meals each week and don't necessarily each with each other but will deliver the food. They run errands for each other and basically have a non-romantic partnership. It's beautiful and they are both so happy. I love to go visit them and see the beautiful lives they have created with this co-living sorta arrangement.
