I don't get the idea of STEM tbh. I'm not an American so to me it doesn't make sense to group all of those things together anyway. I think that doing stats on STEM's students doesn't actually show any meaningful data because it seems like it's very varied fields that are cherrypicked for whatever reason...

This is when they fall back to employment instead of education. As if that somehow means we need even more women studying STEM, instead of like more men staying home not working in marriages. Since this getting married to a man so I don't have to work thing is what actually drives employment and earnings trends, not just in STEM but everywhere.

This explain feminism tactics in a nutshell: cherry-pick anything that reinforce the narrative, exclude anything that doesn't - and then, label as "misinformation" fueled by "hate" any serious data that doesn't fit the narrative. This is why we need to address and be against this kind of rethoric - it causes direct damage to men, in this case because of the men's sub-representation in higher education but in many other cases because of the invisibility of the many issues that affect men disproportionately hidden behind a thick empathy gap created by the ideologies that dismisses them. This is why I cannot subscribe to the vision of other subs/"movements" that gatekeep the criticism to feminism. Nobody is saying that the core idea of equality behind some feminist ideas is wrong or not worth to be pursued, but the fact that someone is gatekeeped to not address the wrongs of an ideology (even while accepting it's goods) is something only blind radical minds could do.

nutrition, nursing, and "subjects allied to" agriculture and medicine are questionable inclusions, to me -- faith healing could be considered allied to medicine, for all I know

not sure how much that would alter the percentages

Lines up with my experience in uni a few years back doing chemistry. There were definitely more girls in my year.

I found this sub yesterday and thought, huh, for once a male advocacy group that isn't all about focusing on technicalities that promote the battle of the sexes. A group that actually discusses real societal issues men face without attacking or pointing the finger at women for any technical falsehoods.

Maybe just for once I should subscribe.

Then today I see this. Sigh.

According to the chart's own image, women outnumber men 150,000 to 86,000 in social studies, a category not listed in their "all encompassing" list. This means there are rather more men in STEM then women - completely invalidating their point
