Young Brothers. I'm an older man who's been around. I'm no catch, but have had several long-term (1 year or longer relationships).

Please take this seriously.

When dating, it'll be extremely easy to fall into the "velvet trap." The first 3 to 6 months of an "exclusive" relationship is so viscerally intoxicating, we, as men, often don't even realize what's really happening.

You see, that first 3 to 6 months, the woman you're having sex with will be so CONVINCINGLY, BEHAVIORALLY LOVING, you'll not fully realize what's happening WITHIN YOU...how IMPRINTING this is in your psyche.

She's BEHAVING in such an affectionate manner (freely giving you hugs and deep kisses ), is very sexually receptive (receptive to your amorous sexual advances), and appears to be fully accepting of you ("I love you as you are"), you can become completely and utterly hooked. BUT, SADLY, IT'S ALL TEMPORARY.

This brief, blissful period of seemingly loving behavior she's exhibiting is not what you think it is and more important, IT'S FLEETING. IT NEVER LASTS. AND, MOST IMPORTANT, NO MATTER WHAT YOU TRY TO DO AS A MAN, NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE TO TRY AND GET THAT LOVING BEHAVIOR BACK FROM HER (that made you fall head over heels), IT...WILL...NEVER...HAPPEN...EVER.

But, you, predictably, will want to believe YOU CAN GET IT BACK. You will WANT TO BELIEVE YOU CAN SOMEHOW GET IT BACK. YOU'LL TRY AND CONVINCE YOURSELF, "THIS TIME IT'S DIFFERENT!"

You see, in that brief period of bliss...that first 3 to 6 months, we can fall so deeply for women, it's unreal. That brief period of highly charged sexuality can often make us BOND with women in visceral, psychological, primal ways we'll never fully understand. Then, when she later changes and starts withdrawing and withholding that loving BEHAVIOR, we can become desperate, and quite often, will do almost anything to try and get it back. We're hooked. We will lie to ourselves and do crazy, self-destructive, dangerous shit...up to, and including throwing ourselves right "under the bus" of marriage.

Psychologist John Gray had it right when he said, "the way to a man's heart isn't through his stomach, it's through his penis."

Open your eyes young Brothers, be careful, educate yourselves to understand what's happening TO YOU AND WITHIN YOU that first 3 to 6 months with her, and constantly remind yourself, that this brief period of behaviorally loving, sexual behavior from her NEVER, EVER LASTS, AND YOU WILL NEVER GET IT BACK.

Protect yourselves, and act accordingly
