So, probably up until like 1-2 years ago I was definitely not in the RPW realm of thought. I was and still consider myself a feminist but, I think my perspective of how those two worlds relate has changed a lot. Before, my view on feminism was more focused on solely equity in life between men/women/ etc which IS good. But I think I also wore some rose colored glasses about the only path to equity was to try and out compete them (such as in the workforce or bodily strength, etc). Now, I just kind of want to work together, not try to out do them.. if that makes sense. Being a feminist to me has evolved in a lot of ways. If you want to be a helpmate; do it. If you want to be a SAHM, do it. Wanna work in an office, do it. I don’t want to have to hear women put others down for wanting to do domestic work, it gets old. Plus, there is a culture of being told YOU’RE weak when you want someone to help guide you through life. If a man wants to do that and is responsible and stable... what is wrong with that? It seems like a good plan if you’re a woman who has no problem working as a team and understanding what strengths and weaknesses you both have. When did you come to your current view or feel that this tactic/view of relationships is most appropriate? As an adult, we’re you raised in an environment that promotes this? I’m curious!
