A big hippo may not realize when a fly lands on it's back, but it surely notices when an eagle does, and reacts accordingly. No one would bother cutting down posters and spreading false statements unless they deem us a threat to their agenda. Since our agenda is merely fair treatment, especially in criminal and family court issues (at least for me) this exposes the fact that this is definitely not their agenda, regardless of the propaganda. This is only the beginning. An ineffective fringe group would hardly be worthy of any attention.

Men's Rights. We are doing it right.

Also there is a /r/SRSMensRights. Which seems to be trying to maintain a veneer of credibility, but I think is a troll sub.

I think it would be fun to have a subreddit called /r/SRSAtheism which just redirects to /r/atheismplus. The same could be done for all of the phony balloney SRS moderated "mens" subs.

I would also like people to consider "reclaiming" the word dildz. The dildz lovers at SRS reddits love that word, hold it close to them, they'd probably be annoyed if other non SRS people dirtied it be using it to refer to SRS.

In that light, I urge people to remember that David Futrolle stalks these forums looking for people that utter misogynistic statements. If you see anyone saying anything you feel is truly misogynistic (such as encouraging physical abuse of women), I'd call them out by name, say something like I see what you did there David Futrolle. Maybe we can make David Futrelle or Futrolle a well known googleable phrase for making misogynistic statements as well as for false flag trolling and stalking.

It's funny because trueMensRights and Mens_Rights really are carbon copies of the "straw-feminist" trope, that the people of SRS love to trot out when people portray the most radical feminists in the media. But don't worry guys, cause the people of SRS are the moral absolutists that understand these complicated issues and have really just distilled it to it's simplest form, only the most radical people in either movement deserve a voice and may speak for their respective movements, though the ones in feminism are definitely right and the other ones are stupid menz.

I mean crap like this: here is straight up bullshit. Nobody is saying men who are falsely accused are in greater numbers than raped women, or against rape crises centers. People in this sub-reddit are however concerned about feminist's lobbying for lower standards of proof for rape accusations, which could lead to abuses of the laws designed to protect victims. Especially since things like DV laws are already used in, for example, divorce and child custody cases by manipulative women/lawyers to get what the woman wants, disregarding the man's needs. There are already cases of people abusing rape accusations to protect themselves from social stigma of cheating, for personal gain(the Brian Banks case) or under pressure from relatives to punish their father in a custody case(like this). Lower standards of proof are only going to make this situation worse, which is why people in this movement are against these lower standards of proof. It's not because rape victims are wrong and we hate them, it's because people are already abusing a system designed to protect female victims to the detriment of some men already and we don't want to see more people abusing these systems.

It's also likely the rape center is female only safe space, in which case it is pretty fair to criticize and ask "what about the men." (Okay that was conjecture on my part, the comic only implied the center was for women only by the man's reaction saying men suffer too, though why someone would prioritize false accusations over helping possible victims I don't know, I guess it's just those "CrAzY mEn" in the men's rights movement.) There are laws a institutions that protect only the female victims of certain crimes(DV and rape being the main ones) in spite of statistics showing that men suffer from these same crimes. Why is it still considered weird that men might need help too. Why is it that feminists often say men suffer at the hands of the patriarchy too, for example by being told they cannot seek help as it is a sign of weakness, but then when men ask for that help from feminists they criticize them for asking for help too, as it is in this comic. Though the help he is asking for is a bit dumb, but the sentiment I have found is similar, even when the demand is reasonable, remember this crap everyone, men need help in a safe space!? They must just want to drink beer and play dem vidya games without having to tell the ladies off for getting in the way, help indeed.

Sorry for this long, rambling post and remember to stay classy SRS, you are representing feminists on reddit and falling into all the same pitfalls that those "straw feminists" on the TV do.

Wow! It's hard to believe (well, maybe not...) that people can be so opposed to reasonable conversation-- and it's not like r/MensRights forces its view on anyone, we're just here to learn and discuss-- that they will attempt to shut down our forum of free discussion.

I really like /mensrights because instead of focusing on woman-bashing, it's about highlighting men's issues. Not defamatory, simply informative!

They never act mature and never act like adults. The only thing they ever seem to do on Reddit is lie, spam, troll, downvote, and act like little children.

That alone would be enough to make me side with Mens Rights over a bunch of people who act like middle schoolers.

Just to clarify, they didn't steal /r/TrueMensRights and it was never an actual Men's Rights subreddit. It was created to point out the ridiculousness of kloo2yoo creating /r/TrueFeminism.

So far as I know only about 3 or 4 people even knew it existed before a few days ago (me, kloo2yoo, and a few others who were involved with the conversation in which I created it and linked it to him).

The point is, it's not exactly a loss. Maybe you guys could arrange some sort of trade. Your petty, childish, movement-mocking subreddit for theirs.
