Roosh and in fact most all PUA snake oil salesmen really aren't what you could call MRAs. Not even Roissy really is even though he has his moments where you might sort of peg him as one, like where he talks about paternity fraud. Most of them tend to characterize MRAs as "beta" because we care about having rights. Aside from a few like Roissy, they mostly seem to be under the misguided assumption that because they can maybe get laid a bit more than the average guy that this magically gives them protections from the legal and other systems set up against men.

Instead of ending, or at least speaking out against, the general atmosphere that convinces men that vagina is the meaning of life, they encourage this atmopshere that enhances and causes sexual frustration. If you put so much pressure on people, some are bound to crack. I think a lot of us young men are well aware of that pressure and feel it every day. If he was really sexually frustrated, who do you blame: the brainwashed or the brainwasher, the one under pressure or the one applying the pressure? By claiming ''become PUA or you'll die'', they're just enlarging the problem.

I saw a lot of people calling him a creep on facebook once his highschool pics came out (Male and female people saying it). it was kind of sickening.

I almost wonder if the psychical appearance based shaming and being ostracized by his peers for it contributed some what.

I'm not excusing what he did (Let the fucker rot in jail till hes dead) or saying that was the sole cause. There had to have been something wrong in his brain initially for him to do some fucked up shit like this. but I do have to wonder if he was made fun of and ostracized by everyone he knew the same way people seem to have been doing on facebook, and if that might have contributed to his inability to see other people as human or feel sympathy/empathy for them.

I think you are being too hard on "Roosh" and others. His tweet was something about "i bet he gets no play". This is most likely a correct statement. Other true statements include that he had few friends, studied neuroscience and played Guitar hero. Your interpretation of that "had he been able to get some" he wouldn't have done what he did. Is that correct? Can we know? Don't shy away from something that's true, just because you don't want it to be true.

To address your subpoints:

This is a form of virgin, rather than creep shaming. Yes, million of men who are unsuccesful with the ladies lead perfectly peacfull lives. However, people do want to understand the confluence of factors that lead to something like this. I'd rather thank that "something" provoked this person (whether it's gradschool or lack of sex or whatever) that go through life imagining that anybody could become him.
People are sexual creatures and denying what we are is not going to get us far. I don't even want to get into the words "salvation" or "heaven", since they are a bit too religious.

This is indeed an very crass advertisement for game, and/or legalizing prostitution. As other people have pointed out, game doesn't save you from lack of rights or the giant number of double standards. However if it at least brings one up to a level of social competence and gives you a lot of friends, then why not game?

I see how the link can be very damaging, and it's important not to give ideologues fuel for their demagogy. But consider this: violence is and has always been an outlet for anger. This anger may come from different sources: it can be self-created out of necessity, or it can be the cumulative effect of frustration. I didn't really follow the stories about the shooter himself, but it seems his act was random, which would imply sociopathy, i.e. that he had no psychological safety mechanism to prevent him from killing. But the anger itself came from somewhere else, most likely from social interactions.

So it's not so much that the reasoning is wrong, but that's it's twisted, and a half-truth can cause more harm than no knowledge at all. So maybe this shooting was avoidable if that particular individual experienced less frustration, but how could this have been? Was it the responsibility of the people close to him to keep an eye on the his behavior? Society at large for not making sure this guy gets what he wants (when it is otherwise so preoccupied to give others everything they want)? So far, it looks like an isolated incident, but the level of violence of a society tells us about its stability and functioning. That's the only "big picture" image we could hope to draw, but it's not easy to know if it's accurate.

Finally, when something unexpected happens, everyone will see in the event something they want to see. Feminists will see the proof of ever present violence against women, the WBC that God hates fags, politicians will see influence of video games and modern music (even though the guy said he was the joker, so the blame would more naturally fall on the movie industry, but you can't really criticize Hollywood), PUAs will see a not-so-average frustrated chump who couldn't get any and MRAs will tend to see it as a symptom of the disproportionate male suffering and inability to get medical care. But until this becomes widespread, there's really no way of telling which of it it is.

But, it's valid commentary and they have a point. The #1 deterrent for terrorism is getting a girlfriend. I wish I had the link to the study, but they found that the most influential variable to get extremists to stop having nutjob fantasies was getting laid frequently by way of a girlfriend/significant other.
