r/dating is mostly filled with teenagers and early 20's people who are frustrated with modern dating because they can't just get what they want.

Unfortunately, this instant gratification culture has ruined people's minds. Anytime you tell them that they can't have something or they have to put in work to get it, they start ranting about it. This generation certainly is nothing but grown children.

The major problem is in the way people are raised. Body posititivity movements make women think fat belly is a net neutral and has no negative implications on her daying prospects. Compare that to men balding now lol. It is the same for young men. Media tells there is someone for everyone. No, there is not. Media tells women care about how men treat them and personality the most. No, they don’t. In their mind that how society is so when someone treats them in another way, they think that person is a problem, naturally.

When women have standards on men it's called preferences.

When men have standards on women it's called misogyny.

When a man is overweight or fat or right out obese there are (rightfully so) negative consequences for him.

When a woman is overweight or fat or right out obese there are (wrongfully so) 'positive' consequences for her in context of her being told embrace 'body positivity'.

Women are lied to and coddled with and never held accountable in society all the time.

Heaven forbid you actually expect agency from these people and it gets so much worse on the over30/40 etc. subs. There you have to validate single mothers and all women are kweens etc...

After reading through those dating and dating advice subs, you can clearly see why they're single and personally I sincerely hope that they stay that way, as no normal person deserves those messes...

Yeah, you posted a rant that breaks one of the rules of that subreddit. Rule 4 prohibits people from soapboxing and promoting an agenda, and even specifically tells posters they can't post Red Pill shit.

Also, your entire premise was false, seeing as women get told they're shallow, picky, and have unrealistic standards ALL the time. More often than men, it seems.

Hypocrisy is part of the human condition. I'm not sure why people think they are accomplishing something by pointing it out. Best to make an assessment of the kinds of people posting on a sub, and realize that posting there is fairly pointless. cast not your pearls before swine. Some subs are full of swine.

Fat women are actually providing a kind of theoretical test of the results of a sex strike. There are so few women who aren't fat these days that I keep seeing couples where the guy really ought to be doing better. He's actually pretty good looking, but a porker is the best he can get because that' all that's on offer. So while the fat girl you mention is a hypocrite, it's possible she will eventually get her dream guy because the supply of nonfat girls will be exhausted. And if a fat guy asks her out, he will get a nuclear rejection. Watch it happen.

Everybody has interest in being dateable, we all get sad if it is not the case. Universal fact independent of whether the no_longer_datable person became fat or not.

So looking at the comments of the post you are referring too most are calling out toxicity on both sides from what I can see. Also a bit tricky since the original post has been removed so that leaves out info. Also appears that comment was a joke in response to another commenter asking why you capitalize and emphasize so many things in your post. Could totally be seeing it wrong but it sounded like it was intended as a joke. Not that you can’t be upset by a joke, people have the right to feel so.

Edit: Don’t deny dating sub are filled with hypocrites, or the world for that matter, people are just more open about it anonymously online

I was banned from r/dating because I’d been banned from the FDS sub. The crazy part, I was banned from the FDS sub because I commented about a crazed female on r/publicfreakout. So, effectively I was banned from both subs without interacting with either directly 🤦‍♀️😂
