I think more women than you think are MRA. We have sons. I have two sons. I will not have them be treated badly and bulldozed. Women also marry men and their mans success is also their success. Men can easily retrain women by not sleeping or reproducing with them. Both of my boys will have nothing to do with most women. They are vapid, slutty and stupid. The thing is... Yeah, a surprising number of actually "active" feminists seem to be. It's one of those cases that scream "projection", as in: We generally assume that other people are like us when assigning them motives and goals, because we can only know our own. It takes experience and reflection to be able to assign unfamiliar thought patterns to people, so many people just copy/paste their own.

So if a feminist says "If you advocate for men, you must hate women", the untold part of the statement may just actually be "since I advocate for women, and I abhor men".

Of course, this doesn't go for every feminist, or even every feminist that assumes you to be a misogynist for caring about men's issues - but generally speaking, how people phrase and frame their opinions can tell you a lot about their own view of the world.

The main issue I have with feminism is they paint society as a very black and white "men bad and oppressive, women good and oppressed" and see the solution is to tear men down and give women perks and advantages everywhere. They also want everyone to have the same view so they want to silence any platform or discussion which acknowledges men and boys can also have issues.

The problem is this isn't an accurate representation of how society is. Both sexes have their own set of privileges and disadvantages, and both sexes justify having a platform. Men wanting to talk about male issues like prostate cancer, unjustified circumcision in baby/young boys, the number of male homeless/prison population/suicide victims etc isn't "anti-women".

I used to call myself a feminist because I agreed with what it used to be about and I knew that women had it way harder than men in the past. I just lost faith in the movement when it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Add in affirmative action, diversity hiring, unconscious bias training etc, and I was thinking "what's the point advocating for women's issues when the system is against us?" I get why those practices exist but they have no place in an equal, meritocratic society. They're disgusting. You'd expect them in the Balkans or some other region ravaged by ethnic tensions, not here in the West.
