If you mean sex with multiple partners, then yes, it's only a minority of women.

Hook up culture is significantly blown out of proportion. Hookup culture is a subculture. And the data on hookup culture is primarily about college students and not the general population.

It would make more sense to talk about casual sex. I might be wrong, but I think statistically married men have more sex than single ones, but it's clear that single men have more casual sex than the married.

I think there's a minority of women who are very into casual sex and have lots of it, but I guess married women have more sex overall.

This is also ignoring people, especially women, who are serial monogamists.

Women have an easier time getting casual sex and by proxy relationships since it's generally accepted that it is men's job to pursue.

But it's rarely acknowledged some women will have a new boyfriend every 3 or 4 months. Men can do that too, but they are usually also the same men that have regular casual sex anyway. I am not referring to dating casually, it's a hard distinction to explain but there is a serious difference between casually dating and serial monogamy and it's not just the exclusivity.

Women who are serial monogamists will have a much higher body count but the dudes they date likely won't, because for the woman it's an unhealthy routine, while most of the dudes are completely caught off guard because they more than likely are not used to regular access to casual sex.

I'd also be willing to bet, that if or when it comes up, that high body count will be one of the main turmoils in the relationship because the lived experiences are so different.

Their are women that have an extremely disproportionate amount of sex. They are called prostitutes. A female prostitute likely averages at least 5 sexual encounters a week. That’s over 200 men per year. Way more than any “Chad” could hope for. Even if half her clients are repeats she’s doing 100+ different men a year.
