Wow. That’s the story for a pedophile and child rapist? Incredible.

[–]HulkingBrain 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rookie of the year!

[–]manbro7 194 points195 points196 points 4 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

The fact there's so many female pedo teachers in schools who "has sex" meaning rape boys and get away with almost no punishment, and with zero hate campaigns ever directed at them like the way it happens to men after 1 murder or rape tells you all you need to know about society.

[–]xsplizzle 77 points78 points79 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

In the uk a policeman just got a full life sentence (rare) in the uk for rape and murder of a woman, now all the news and media is all about how all men are bad, how we need to teach men not to rape all that shit.

Jesus christ, can you imagine if the same thing happened if a black person did these things and we had the news saying things like 'we need to teach black people that its not ok to rape and murder' can you imagine the fucking uproar

How people can find this acceptable behaviour is beyond me.

[–]pdoherty972 26 points27 points28 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes - somehow lumping men all together and admonishing them as a group for one of their behavior makes sense, but doing it to any other group (or gender) is wrong?

[–]No_Masterpiece4305 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I mean over here in the US theres a pretty large number of people that already talk like that and a large percentage of our population are just like "lol, freedom of speech bro".

[–]heyyy-kiddo 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

However when you call them out the same freedom of speach dissappears and they try to get you banned using the "unbiased" rules. Basically you are a 2nd tier citizen....just good to pay taxes.

[–]HPUnicorn 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So we all know about Priests and kids BUT I wonder sometimes what the ratio is between teachers having sex with students and priests.

[–]SerjoHlaaluDramBero 39 points40 points41 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Public school teachers commit roughly 100 times the amount of child sex abuse as Catholic priests.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/has-media-ignored-sex-abuse-in-school/

[–]HPUnicorn 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is exactly what I was looking for , thanks.

[–]MBV-09-C 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This honestly didn't surprise me at all, as a kid, you typically only see 1 priest once a week if you even go to a church, but you're exposed to several different teachers 5 days a week and get a new set of them every year.

Potential for foul play was always way higher, but the surprising thing is why are priest abuse jokes so much more common than teacher abuse if teacher abuse happens this frequently?

[–]heyyy-kiddo 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably it even follows the Gauss curve or a common distribution for it.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Catholic church runs it's own schools.

Which is exactly why I have ghosted society and have walked away. Yes, I care but, I use my energy in things that matter and may make a difference, just saying.

[–]ineyy 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I now live outside society

... in a different society

no no no I moved myself beyond society, I'm not in a society

well, what's out there?

nothing's out there

[–]heyyy-kiddo 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just means you change countries or stop any outside shit other than paying minimal taxes(if you can skimp on those and get away with it the better).

[–]AssAssIn46 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I stopped coming to this sub years ago when I realised these battles are pointless. I commend those who continue to stand up to it, they're better than I am, but it's not something I am going to concern myself with at all times like I used to. It's not good for my mental health. This shit wears you down.

And not just men's issues, there are many other issues which you look into and realise are woven into the fabric of society and have been for generations, a concequence of human natural itself perhaps. Recently discovered stoicism and it's given me some peace in regards to such issues.

[–]Mr-X1 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If it was the other way around people would screech about rape culture.

[–]MatrixAdmin -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that you are using the word rape in a very loose way that isn't quite the same as what most people think of as rape. Rape is when one person is forced to have sex (penetrated) against their will, usually held down physically. It's violent and not a pleasant experience for the person being raped. That is rape. A 14 year old boy having sex with a grown woman might be wrong for various reasons and we can agree on that, but it's really a stretch to call that rape. You are trying to equate very different circumstances. This was consensual. Rape is not consensual. And you can argue that a 14 year old boy is too young to give legal consent, and technically that is how the law works. But I was 14 year old once and I could see how he probably really did enjoy his after school fun. And in his mind it was probably quite consensual. Bottom line is that you need to use another word, because you are stretching the meaning of the word to suit your argument when it would be better to just use more accurate words to describe what actually happened than trying to convince people to accept your overly broad definition of the word rape.

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

uhm, so, if an adult has sex with a male minor, and it's consensual it's not rape, but, when they have sex with a female minor, and she gives consent, it is rape?

[–]MatrixAdmin 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No, both if both cases are consensual then my point is that's not rape, it's something different. So, I'm disagreeing with the usage of the word "rape". Statutory or whatever it may be. I think there should be a different word to describe consensual and non-consensual sex. Lumping these two very different circumstances together and equating them only creates this sort of confusion I'm trying to dispel.

My whole point is you cannot compare violent rape where one person is unwilling and being forced physically against their will; that is completely different when both parties are into it and enjoying themselves. So, we just need to use more clear words to describe these things and the law needs to address the different circumstances as well.

[–]Ender01o 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah, sorry, I didn't understand what you meant because I've heard that consensual sex with a minor is rape anyway, but, when you said it wasn't, I got confused.

but, yeah, they should give it its own , especially now that recently people who are having consensual sex over 18 are calling it rape so that their boyfriend won't be mad at them for cheating or something,

meanwhile also destroying the other man's life with the false rape accusation

[–]Dwaynedibley24601 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

lets do the flip test...

[–]fraktalMaus 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/teacher-at-montco-private-school-accused-of-having-sexual-relationship-with-student/2550384/?amp

https://kutv.com/amp/news/local/high-school-teacher-arrested-for-allegedly-having-sex-with-former-student

This wording is always used perhaps because the word rape would bring to mind forcible rape as opposed to statutory.

[–]Dwaynedibley24601 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Also, they do not make this concession with men.. when it is a male offender the "R" word is plastered everywhere in 72 point type.

[–]fraktalMaus 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did you see the headlines I just posted and the articles?

[–]Dwaynedibley24601 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

and is there really a difference? rape is rape whether by force or coercion. I hate terms like "Date rape" and "Acquaintance rape"... and even "intimate partner violence", it's just rape. and an adult that abuses their position and authority to have carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old is a RAPIST.

[–]MBV-09-C 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To be fair on intimate partner violence, that's not actually referring to rape, that's their updated term for domestic violence.

[–]Dwaynedibley24601 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Still hate the term

[–]fraktalMaus 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“We hope everyone is patient, doesn’t rush to judgment and respects the family’s privacy,” the lawyer said.

Welp, that is hypocritical to be asked of the public

Well, he may have meant the family of the boy but......

[–]Zealous_Zac 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fair point, however until explicitly stated I will remain skeptical

[–]HPUnicorn 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

ONE OF THE LAWYERS said, is it just more or do these female teachers always seem to have numerous lawyers working on their behalf.

[–]heyyy-kiddo 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]TalbotFarwell 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably hired for her by her union. Teacher’s unions are way too powerful. People think police unions are bad, but they’ve got nothin’ on the political weight, funding, and influence teacher’s unions have to swing around when it comes to keeping bad (or worse, outright predatory) teachers on the job.

[–]SerjoHlaaluDramBero 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It is a tremendous problem in your profession. Public school teachers commit roughly 100 times the amount of child sex abuse as Catholic priests did during the height of the Church's sex abuse crisis.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/has-media-ignored-sex-abuse-in-school/

70% of teachers are female. Most of those are white and liberal.

Normalization of aberrant behavior happens in homogenous populations.

[+]NoSh_t -11 points-10 points-9 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I’m sorry—sex, race, and political beliefs are irrelevant here. People of all walks of life will betray the trust and authority given to them.

[–]heyyy-kiddo 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Problem is that the check mechanism no longer works on "some groups" so the only ones kept in check ....i guess you got it.

Race and sexuality does matter...for now.....but not in a negative sense, but in a positive discrimination sense.

Mothers will be on guard when a dad is with his kid in park, but will be all fine if a random women(does not look like the kid ) strolls around.

It's a reason drug smugglers are mostly women when transporting drugs....security will be reticent for checkup and extra space.

[–]throwaway3569387340 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You missed the point.

Homogenous populations will normalize aberrant behavior. It doesn't matter if it's white males, Black teens, Catholics, Muslims, right-wing Germans, communist Chinese, or white liberal women.

In the educational system that homogenous population is white liberal women. That's just a fact.

[+]NoSh_t -17 points-16 points-15 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

70% female is hardly homogeneous.

And, as a teacher, I can assure you that political orientations are quite mixed.

Your argument is dumb.

[–]throwaway3569387340 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

70% is absolutely homogenous in the context of this issue. Mob mentality only requires 5% of a population to influence the rest into aberrant behavior.

http://www.personal.psu.edu/afr3/blogs/SIOW/2011/11/mob-mentality-how-easy-can-you-be-drawn-in.html

You are pretty defensive for an educator.

[–]brokedown 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We're simultaneously mortified that so many teachers rape kids, and also that so many kids falsely accuse teachers of rape. It's a fucked up world out there!

[–]NoSh_t -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There really is no defense. If you’re accused, that’s the end of your career.

[–]Evening_Eagle 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One of the teacher’s lawyers, Landon Ray, said his client is “presumed innocent until proven guilty.

“We hope everyone is patient, doesn’t rush to judgment and respects the family’s privacy,” the lawyer said.

I wonder why I never see something like this when perpetator is a man?

[–]Zephyr9865 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not uncommon at all.

[–]gratis_eekhoorn 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is more common that media doesnt call it rape than they call it rape when the perpetrator is a woman.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It always happens. In U.K, women cannot rape men legally. I was really shocked when I saw a video of English female feminists chanting anti male slogans such as "get him out" or teach your sons not to rape. Even in U.K, where women have more rights than men, women are always oppressed. This doesn't make sense. At least in the traditional society, English men had voting right while English women didn't. Instead, they took responsibility to fight for their nation, or feed their family. Nowadays, British men still have responsibility but lost their previledge. This is an unfair bs game. Either live in a traditional society where men have control over everything (instead they also take responsibiliy) or live in a modern society where men and women have equal rights. Stop insulting men and stop stealing men's right (one English congresswoman stated that men shouldn't be outside at night- because they are f-ing rapists).

[–]JackSkell0255 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Somebody (God rest his soul) once said “Words mean things”.

How is it that one side get to redefine, or expand the meaning of, words when it fits their agenda, but when it goes against their agenda we’re bound to “the legal definition”. Very curious.

I would not use that word if there was no violence or coercion in any case.

What if that person was sleeping

I think you’ll find that when it comes to sexual intercourse human males are often multiple times the age of human females, kinda like dog years…. It would seem that she’s actually 15 in human sexual intercourse years.

Zing! You are a master debater for going directly to the final strategy for winning a losing argument, which is name-calling, brilliantly played! I’ve learned so much from your position on the subject and you’ve completely changed my point of view with your cunning insights. You must be very proud of yourself right now for the argument that you’ve made on this subject. Please show your parents this brilliant retort so that they can share in your glory and feel justified for all the education that you’ve had which clearly didn’t go to waste!

Do you know what sarcasm is because you’re now standing in it…

[–]v573v -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Is that the best argument you can formulate against my point?

[–]NoSh_t 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Winning an argument against you would be no victory.

I'm assuming this was a joke, but mate, seriously, read the room better.

It’s satire and it’s also very true.

A woman’s age is reduced when it comes to her male sexual partner and I’ll give you another illustration to prove the point - a 30 year old male who has sex with an 18 year old female is often perceived as a pervert despite our society considering 18 above the age of consent so, you see that once again her age is again reduced like reverse dog years.

you do understand that this is about what the adult did, not whether the child enjoyed it, right?

I'm sure there were gender swapped cases and the guy was linched even if the girl wanted it. It's not less wrong, but don't defend her. It's a shit show . If she wanted "fresh" there are plenty of horrny ,legal,18 year olds.
