as a bi woman, I do find myself wanting to get with girls far more than guys-despite being attracted to both an equal amount. this doesn’t really correlate with my dating history tho because of how hard it is to find a girl who is into girls and into me. men may have a lower “sexual market value”, but they’re’s so many more of them that are options

I'm bi and will probably never be with a woman, which isn't at all a reflection of how much I'm attracted to women. The thing is, no matter what disadvantages there are to being with men, one huge advantage overshadows it - you get to be in a heterosexual relationship. If I get the chance to be seen as straight and all of the privileges and advantages that come with that I'm going to take it. I can find a man who is kind and trustworthy and unlikely to abuse me and makes me orgasm, but I can't find a woman who won't get me disowned from my family.

However once you cross the "attractive guy" threshold the dynamics exponentially shift in your favor.

Most of the chicks I tend to get with tend to be some degree of bisexual...and most (the more open ones) express similar frustrations trying to date women that men do. A lot have been actually impressed by my ability to attract women..

As a bi woman, and it's my personal opinion that I've made through experience, yes. I am attracted to both men and women and had more experience with men since there are more straight, bi men then there are gay, bi women. There were lot's of factors that formed that conclusion starting from guy's personality and opinions and ending up with the way they behave during sex. I was honestly surprised just how common it is for men to not give a shit whether a woman comes or not. And I'm talking here about men that I knew for months, even years. Hoped that our friendship could blossom into something more only to realize that they were either lying about some things (like whether he wants kids or not) or completely disregarded my sexual needs. As long as they came it was fine. Conversations didn't help which is ultimately what makes it so bad. It's okay not to be a sex god or not knowing how to please a particular woman (everyone is different, men have different needs as well) but if they aren't even willing to listen and try then what's the point? On top of it there's an issue with men simply being more prone to violence and sexual abuse which obviously makes me wary of them. As you said - it's a riskier option.

The other thing that's a deal-breaker is simply the lack of hygiene. Even when a guy seem to be hygienic and smells nice, the magic disappears the moment he takes his pants off. Just no. And it happened enough times to make me wonder if lack of hygiene is just common among men.

I'm not going to say that women are better and men are not worth it. I had pleasant experience with men as well and met wonderful guys that I am friends with to this day. However, after multiple issues, sometimes even dangerous ones I stopped looking for men and started dating women exclusively as I found it simply both safer and with little to no disappointments.

I happen to hang around a lot with a female friend of mine who's bi. She's in an open relationship with a guy and both of them have sex with girls only. She's also almost exclusively attracted to women if the attraction it's just physical, but she said she never fell in love with women and wouldn't consider a LTR with one neither.

So she's attracted to women, but in her own words she can't stand them for too long. Yes, they are more complicated, they flake a lot and are quite inconsistent with their intrests and attention. Also, men provide some kind of "protection" and confort acording to her she can't feel with women.

She said she has also a bisexual guy friend who has mostly gone full gay because of the same reassons.

No because a woman can never develop what women want from men. Women above all want protection and safety. A woman can never make her feel that. At the end of the day both are women and subjected to their emotions.

As a bisexual woman, I'll be honest and say I've never thought of that. I've had periods where I was more attracted to women than men, but it wasn't because I was wary of men, thought women would be better for sex, or anything like that. I guess I was just really into girls at that point, kind of like how I went through a rocker phase, and a kpop phase. Like I was super into watching movies or tv shows with lesbian couples, and focused on going on dates with other girls. I guess in theory dating another woman could be good because they understand certain things better, but at the same time that also comes with negatives. Domestic violence in lesbian couples is pretty high too tbh. I'm in a LTR with a man right now and I've never thought "I'd rather be dating a woman" even though I still think Megan Fox is hot. The biggest pro of dating another girl would be not getting pregnant, but honestly being on birth control helps control my periods so I don't really mind.

Nope. I've dated both men and women and prefer men by a lot. They're almost always easier to communicate with, seem more likely to share my own hobbies and interests, and I greatly enjoy sex with penis involved. Although women are slightly more physically attractive in general, men are physically attractive too and have more aspects in common.

I believe this is difficult to answer because from my experience, few bisexuals are truly equally balanced between the genders. Often one gender is preferred romantically, at the least. Even sexually, I've rarely met someone truly equally balanced. As they say, homo/heterosexuality is a continuum--often two continuums: one for romance and one purely for sex.

I actually didn't embrace my pansexuality until after I was already with my husband. I do think that if I ever became single again, I'd date only women, though not for the reasons you mention. I just think the qualities I like in a partner are more likely to be found in women (particularly women who like women).

What bi women I've dated have told me on the matter, is that while they are more often physically attracted to other women than to men, men can offer things that women can't. Things like a sense of protection, domination, and the general feeling of "being taken care off". This transfers to the bedroom as well, and sort of equalizes the value of men and women for them.

Of course this is anecdotal evidence I've got from talking to 2 bi women, so you know, grain of salt and all...

If a woman is bisexual, would men overall have relatively low sexual market value? Considering the orgasm gap in heterosexual sex, and the higher odds of experiencing violence or sexual assault with a male partner, doesn't that make men a (generally) less desirable and more risky option for sex...and therefore of low sexual market value?

Never noticed any such differences and gaps and orgasms are a retarded way to measure sexual satisfaction anyway: I'd just masturbate if organisms were all that mattered.

I've never been attacked by any individual but apparently intimate partner violence is the highest with two females of all combinations but these studies are known to be highly flawed in what is considered "violence" and the results vary dramatically based on what is counted.

I simply think a penis a plus when having sex—it's pretty much strictly superior from a sexual perspective from where I stand, but reproductive anatomy aside most males where I live cut their hair short in ridiculous haircuts after the age of 22 already it seems and before that it often doesn't look good either and I noticed with all my male friends that around 22-25 years of age their personality really start to change and they become boring, unimaginative and rusted in their thoughts; this happend with some female friends to but not all fell victim—there is apparently some neuroscience that backs up the idea that females retain greater neuroplasticity on average.

When I was a teenager most of my friends were male but I basically haven't had a male friend any more for close to a decade now—they all became boring as they aged.

"abuse" is not a serious consideration to me; it has simply never happened and it seems unlikely; I don't live my life around such minutiae qualified in gender statistics.
