I felt this post was necessary due to a situation I was in yesterday. I was having a disagreement with a guy I've been seeing and honestly felt pretty hurt. My thumbs were so quick and I found myself wanting to send drawn out texts about how I felt. I've done this in the past and can say, especially with low value men, it has gotten me nowhere. I always end up feeling drained and embarrassed.

If a man is disrespectful or hurts you in any way, don't waste your time and energy with long texts explaining your feelings. No amount of words in a text will make him sorry or truly want to change his ways. I truly believe low value men love nothing more to call a woman who's simply hurt or upset "crazy". They'll take the defense, play dumb, and cause an endless back and forth that makes you feel like you're dating a 12 year old boy. Disagreements and arguments happen even in mature/healthy relationships. He can pick up the phone and call or set a time to call, or better yet, he could get in his car and come talk it out with you in person. You won't need to send paragraphs and paragraphs trying to make him understand. If it's a serious matter, text is not the way to go. And if text message is the only way he'll sort out an argument or listen to you, that's a hugeee red flag.

This isn't about hiding your feelings. Absolutely explain how you feel, especially if you're with a high value man who loves and respects you. I'm just saying you deserve more than a text and to spend all this mental energy typing your feelings into a phone.
