Any time someone in a relationship gets physical like that, the other person needs to leave. That's them(the aggressor) showing you they've got no respect for you any more.

It's a shame so many women feel its just fine for us guys to be attacked, and we're supposed to just deal with it. Can we "take it"? In like 95% of the cases, most likely.

Should we have to? No.

I just read this thread and happened to see this next.. if the situation was reversed it wouldn't be the same responses at all.. it's sad that.... Personally, I've had the situation where I brought someone through such fucked up madness, helped the person through quality of life and such fuck up times including financial difficulty for them and family, through horrible shit and literally changed their entire circumstances..even with personal difficulty, putting first them before my own... no matter what their improvement was in all their quality of life and faculties of the life they wanted for their own as self and their family that was achieved, and it was.... literally changing countries occupations quality of life etc they used to brake shit cause random nonsensical violence etc, etc, etc.... I'm not getting into it cause it's not a woe is me .... All fucked up shit is ok and dismissed just because the sexes where what they where... I finally ended it a point of personal health suffering, despite the total increase in health and lifestyle improvement for them, the behaviour was toxic.. and just destroying oneself.... Still they are seen as no wrong, because, not a man, that it was by People viewing... Luckily I'm with someone who is not lost to that double standard nonsensical bulshit... people need to wake the fuck up and realise women can be bad toxic people, that it's not men bad/women good ... Both can have their toxicity... Yet no, it's always the scapegoat view..just not how the people are but how people view shit through the bulshit lense their told..

I'm lucky I got out of that bulshit, and I have a Good, Good woman that is with me, neither of us are perfect, yet instead of expectations of bulshit we work together to improve life for us both despite our individual faults or failings we work together to improve both of ourselves, individually, on our own and as a Unit together, being really there for eachother..... As it should be...
Maybe I'm just lucky now, as she isn't lost, by her own words in this feminist toxic view of people, but that man and woman have positives and negatives that can compliment eachother and create something more And benefit eachother as it should be as a unit.... Without this toxicity that's normalised...

I read over it and for 90% of it the mans totally in the wrong, his wife hasn't played for a weekend in 2 years, has been stressed working and has made specific plans to enjoy something and the dude tries to manipulate her via who will feed the cat? That said she shouldn't have thrown keys. Getting passed off is understandable but throwing shit does cross a line. Man is definitely the asshole but the woman did lose control a bit and should definitely not have thrown the keys

Apart from the usual anti male horseshit that smears the halls of that sub, reading through the comments does shine some light on where the hypocrites are coming from.

They aren’t “seeing” OP’s relationship issue, not really. What they’re looking at is their own relationships where they were used and taken advantage of as free labor and not allowed any time to themselves.

It’s the classic evil man used poor woman as a glorified servant scenario. Whether this is what their pasts really were like or not doesn’t matter; they see those former relationships in that way.

So upon reading OP’s post they side with the violent wife since she is lashing out at her “oppressor” and likely doing something they wished they did.

Of course you also add in the usual “circle the wagons” thing that seems to happen when it’s a woman vs man and we have the blood pressure raising shitshow you walked into.

He also mentioned that the last time this happened was two years ago. The dude can make himself breakfast, and feed the cat once, so she can relax and play a video game with her friends.

Uh… This is NOT what happened. His wife was on vacation and was excited about the new FF launch. She was in the middle of a dungeon and he physically stood in front of the tv to interrupt her because he wasn’t satisfied with her perfectly reasonable solution (order doordash). He guilt tripped her, claiming that it wasn’t fair to “the family” (literally just himself and a cat) to take the weekend for herself, something she’s only done once in two years. She brings him snacks during his weekly DnD sessions, but he can’t be bothered to make breakfast for a weekend.

This man is not even a functional adult. He claims not to know how to complete the simplest of tasks, including feeding the cat. One weekend every other year is not a hard ask. She would have made breakfast for him if the situation was turned. He felt entitled to her free time when he definitely didn’t have a right to it. He accused her of being “obsessed” with the game for taking the weekend off. And they didn’t normally make breakfast together, she usually makes him breakfast despite working the night shift. This is her VACATION. And it turns out that when he said “make breakfast together,” he meant he gets a couple ingredients out and she does all the work.

Throwing the keys was abusive and completely inappropriate, but he is still 100% the asshole for what he did. They both suck.

That place is like a moshpit of sexism and hypocrisy. I just read a post from a dude explaining that he doesn’t know how to drive and have no plans to do so because it saves money.

His girlfriend that KNOWS he doesn’t want to drive then gifts him a driving lesson coupon for his birthday, and, SURPRISE, he doesn’t like the gift.

Girlfriend then gets pissy because he won’t learn how to drive and how she would ”like to be the passenger sometimes”. Naturally, he gets branded as this massive asshole who ”won’t learn a required life-skill” to support the GF.

But the fact that she got together with him fully aware that he doesn’t even like cars and won’t learn how to drive is never brought up. Go figure.

The OP in AITA clearly touched on a nerve; these commenters are poorly socialized feminists and soy boys who live vicariously through video games. They have lost touch with reality. This is what happens when people don't see sunlight or touch grass. They think it's okay for someone to spend 20 hours playing a fucking video game and assaulting their spouse. Hey, I'm 36 and I love video games but there are limits.

The commenters were all mocking the husband for wanting to cook a meal together with his wife and especially when he referred to himself, his wife, and their cat as a "family." Feminists hate the family unit, they are actively trying to dismantle the fundamental pillar of society.

"Hello there, I’m currently typing this from my car, after my husband has told me he doesn’t want me near him right now. Hoping this thread will be a wake up call to him.

My husband (M33) is a big nerd, which I normally appreciate, but he is taking things way too far today. He took today off of work, so he could be up at 4AM to play his online game at launch. I didn’t wake up until about an hour ago (10:30, and he was still playing. I mentioned that I was Hungry, hoping we could make breakfast together , which we like to do together. He instead said that I should “order us something from doordash, im in the middle of a dungeon and may be a while.” I didn’t really wanna get takeout, because we had already discussed ordering pizza tonight for dinner, and that’s a lot of take out food in one day. I calmly explained this, and he got pissed and shrieked at me that he just wanted one weekend to focus on his video game. I said that it was unfair to our family for him to isolate all weekend, and he got even more mad, telling me that I have two hands and can feed the goddamn cat. I was in tears at this point, and I did raise my voice and said that I was worried he’s obsessed with this game and maybe he needs professional help. He threw his car keys at me and said that I need to get out of his face, that he works all the time and doesn’t ask for much, and I need to leave him be and get out of his face for a few hours.

I am truly concerned that he has become obsessed with this online game, and I’m hoping that maybe reading this thread will wake him up to it, but I might’ve been the AH too.

Edit: some additional info I forgot: it isn’t just today, for the last few weeks he’s been hyping herself up for this. When the game got delayed, he MOVED HIS VACATION time rather than just keep his previous day off and spend it with me. He’s been absolutely freaking out about this game and I don’t understand it and it scares me."

Also, people on that post seem to forget that keys are sharp metal objects and shouldn't be thrown at anyone.
