I have no sympathy for this woman in particular, but the very concept of being "arrested on suspicion of abusive writing" is abhorrent to me.

That having been said, it's not paranoia for her to believe that this is a matter of thought policing. It would appear that this is exactly what is happening, she is being charged with hate crimes for holding the wrong views. This is worrying, even if it is a case of Frankenstein being attacked by his own monster.

its very hard to have sympathy for this person given the history of her own movement

if i were to put up posters stating that men are abused by women with domestic violence and should have refuges, and that mothers who abuse their husband should not have custody etc

or that MGM should be made illegal like FGM

or that Parental alienation should be made a crime.

for any of these, this person would be the first to social media and the police screaming about misogyny and how women have it worse eg the old Man get killed, mostly women affected trope.

She is getting a taste of what her own ideology has been doing to men for a very long time

Erin Pizzey warned society 50 years ago about this( and yes I know it has gone on long before this) and yet this movement has been destroying family lives( especially children) with their cult behaviour.

When I read the title I was surprised. Women being arrested for hate crimes against makes is almost unheard of. Of course she was arrested for hating on transgender persons. That explains it.

The reasons why she was arrested are kind of insanely authoritarian and scary but I don't feel bad for her. She supports a movement and an ideology that promotes that authoritarianism and nonsense.

I wouldn’t celebrate this too much, all you’re seeing here is multiple tiers of different policing directly resulting from the scourge of identity politics.

The police are notorious for placing transgenders on the top tier when it comes to supposed crimes against them. While there is indeed a certain amount of karma in how transgenders have displaced feminists from the top spot and made them into second class citizens in the debate on gender issues, it doesn’t take away from the fact that men (and men’s issues), and especially white men, are still at the very bottom of the pile and third class citizens as far as the police are concerned

Couple of points to make here:

First, if you expect me to sympathize with someone who was arrested for thinking the wrong thing, while "their side" (for lack of a better word) is more than happy to abuse and censor those who disagree with them: You're out of your goddamn mind! Schadenfreude and all that...

Second, in a more salty way for me to say, how come every Woman who gets caught doing something wrong suddenly has some sort of Mental Illness. You couldnt ever imagine a Man successfully arguing that...

Third, from what it looks like, the most they could have her for is Section 5, and even then its at a push. The whole "Criminal Damage" charge SHOULD NOT hold up in court, especially when a statue getting ripped down and thrown in a harbour supposedly WASNT CD. But, British Courts are a complete joke, so I expect her to get the death sentence for this...

The people who do 'i was searched intrusively' yeah they are going to check you aren't smuggling. If you're a guy it's squat and cough minimum, a woman the same and maybe a speculum as well. Blame the people who do smuggle not the people who are there to stop it.
