Volunteering for park cleanups or other causes you actually care about. You’re building your sense of community even if you don’t meet a HVM in the process.

Meetups or classes that relate to your interests, where again you’d be investing in your own value even if you don’t meet a man in the process.

HV men tend to be active in their communities. Look out for fundraisers organized by your local rotary club, Moose lodge or whatever is active in your local area. Remember, older married HV men & women who are active in local charities may have younger unmarried sons/nephews who could also be HV.

A class for a hobby you enjoy! Ex pottery, swing dance, creative writing, etc. You should be there for your own enjoyment, not for the sole purpose of meeting men, but if you happen to meet a HVM there then you already share a common interest and it gives you a chance to observe and vet him organically over time. (And always remember to kill your inner Pick Me. HE has to demonstrate interest and effort in pursuing you or else he's just another random man that you treat as such.)

The gym.

There are certainly a lot of LVM there, but they're pretty easy to spot. If he works out consistently, it shows he's concerned about his health/fitness. If he has good form and a nice body, he's probably knowledgeable about weight lifting and diet/nutrition. If he comes at 5pm every day, he probably has a normal-type job.

Low value behaviours: showing off (lifting more than their ability, wearing stringer tops etc.), poor form, staring at women, giving unsolicited "advice" to women, general poor etiquette (not cleaning up after themselves, putting plates away), steroid use (obvious signs like back-ne or overinflated muscles), hygiene (no deodorant, overuse of cologne/Axe body spray, etc.).

Obviously it's not fool proof, but you can learn a lot by observing people in the gym!

(By the way I disagree about meeting men at conferences. My career is sacred and I'm not going to tarnish my reputation trying to get a date at a professional event. A HVM is going to be doing the same )

One of those Bookstore cafe’s, I have a friend who met a HVM there and they are still together to this day.

Seminars are good. If you don’t meet a man there, you could still make friends with HV people or people who are aiming to become HV, and they can introduce you to HVM.

I have two big no-nos based on my experience in the past years: not on OLD, and sure as hell not in hostels/ anything similar to a hostel.

I realise that's pretty much been my only dating pool for years since I'm a traveller and holy cow does that explain the string of disastrous encounters I've had. What a lightbulb moment. Literally the guy who came to fix my heater today was more balanced and well adjusted in life and mentally sound that anyone I've met in the past several years through those two avenues.

Personally, I think you have better chances anywhere than the online catalogues where you have to "out-sexy" the next woman before his grubby thumb swipes left. Meeting people pretty much anywhere in real life sets a different precedent right off the bat.

I wouldn't say I've met anyone I'd want to pursue anything with yet (so idk if they're high value), but I've met men at restaurants, bars, professional conferences, other online activities (like my grad school cohort), and even just getting my car fixed.

I think the best way is through your social network. If you have HV couple friends, how about their male friends? I have a couple of friends who are engaged or married to HV men, and their mutual male friends seem great (although different religions so not viable options for me).

Best way to meet HVM? Live your life. Go do things with other people. Make HV friends who might know other HV people (men or women).

All of the HV people I've met have been either through work or a hobby.

Marathon running? Deffo takes dedication. I'd say any activity where a high level of effort, work and planning is involved.
