I disagree. The vast majority of women in real life are perfectly reasonable people. The internet just amplifies the worst of them.

That said, I think the normalisation of awful, toxic behaviour on social media is at risk of bleeding out into real life, considering the huge influence things like tiktok have on society these days.

For example, I saw a tiktok today saying that ghosting people is bad, and that you should at least send a message saying you're not interested. Seems pretty uncontroversial, right? The comments were filled with feminists saying they're "unsafe" if they reject a boy politely, so they have no choice but to ghost. And they had hundreds of likes each. If they can freely say these things online and get so little pushback, it's inevitable that they'll start saying them in real life as well.

Don't mix up women who seek fame on Tiktok with the vast majority of women who do not.

I'd also avoid using words like "misogynist" and "misandrist" so freely, as they imply hate. Most women, almost all of them I would argue, do not hate men. Many feel comfortable saying bad things about men though, as you point out.

Misandrist is too strong of a word if you're going to say "majority of women." Lets not just throw that word around the same way that feminists just throw around "misogyny." However, I agree that the majority of both men and women are more critical of men and protective of women. Most people think its acceptable to criticize men as a whole and they see no problem with society prioritizing women over men.

This is just not true, unless you're in a bubble environment of hate. A majority of women are just not going to have such extreme views about men. And even though the effects of feminism pervade our society, you're rarely going to meet the sort of stereotypical raging manhating radfem that spout misandrist hate.

This is very obviously not true. Unironically, step outside and talk to women. Most are normal people and do not really hate men. Obviously, if you look at certain left-wing spaces misandrists will be more common. But in the grand scheme of things these are fringe.

A lot of the misandry online is performative, done to fit into certain social groups and impress certain people. (it is also said in an abstract sense without linking what's being said to men in their life) In my experience most are perfectly pleasant to men in their life. (even the ones that go the whole hog with woke drivel)

Obviously that's not to say that it's not a problem, (these people enable the genuine misandrists by just smiling and nodding, or offering very weak challenges that amount to "yeah but") but you are hearing an extremely loud minority and it should not put you off talking to women.
