Delete all social media. I’m 32… not only did I live through the ‘app revolution’ but I was part of it (as a UX & Product Designer), deleting all Social Media a year ago was the best decision I ever made.

The truth is no one really cares about your life, the love hearts on your photos aren’t real, but the ability for the tech platforms to shape emotion and thought is real, studied and proven.

There needs to be a great awakening among our generation, we need to the lead on this. It was our generation that got hooked on these platforms, it was our fault they grew into the behemoths they are.

I think that more people need to understand that the world isn't some place where nothing you do has consequences. Even if it was a joke, people who post things with their name and/ or face is meant to be representative to the companies they work for as this sort of shit could damage their reputation and lose customers. Either alias with no connection to yourself as a person or don't do shit that common sense would say you shouldn't do.

It's also a pretty stupid hill to die on as well. All lives matter is a pretty uncontroversial statement and I have never seen anyone who is an activist for it either, with it only ever really used by conservatives who don't support BLM as a movement.
