I’m thinking of for example Taylor swift. She was holding on to her virginity for marriage, then met Jake Gyllenhaal (she was 20 and he almost 30), they dated seriously for a couple of months, he met her dad, she fell in love and he convinced her to have sex. Then he abruptly ended things, saying she was “too young”.
Understandably, Taylor was left feeling used, duped, and it wrecked her (and her love life) for the coming years. She had a string of unsuccessful relationships after him.
Eventually she was able to heal, and has been with Joe Alwyn for 6 years.
How does one heal from being Alpha Widowed?

The divorce rate in the USA is at 45%. https://thecitizen.com/2021/11/03/divorce-in-america/
You can also see that although millennials have a divorce rate the lowest at 26%, they also have the lowest marriage rates! Meaning that the enter marriage carefully (the opposite to what's suggested here). It's also worth pointing out that these marriages are younger and as such haven't had as much time to fail as the older generations with a higher divorce rate.
Again virginity can be important and respected just as easily outside of marriage as with in it (look at millennials with thier low marriage rates and high unmarried family units. https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2020/05/27/as-millennials-near-40-theyre-approaching-family-life-differently-than-previous-generations/#:~:text=About%20one%2Din%2Dfive%20Millennial,unmarried%20at%20a%20comparable%20age.
Moving on I haven't once suggested that sex isn't important or emotionally invested equally for both genders. Actually I pointed out the opposite. I would also like to point out you can have sex out of marriage that isn't causal.
Women having more emotions around sex, is out dated nonsense. It's completely effects each individual differently regardless of gender.
A man can leave after pregnancy, however he is still responsible financially and has zero say in if the baby is kept. Women on all levels from more birth control options to abortion are in a stronger position as they have the options proceeding forward with pregnancy. It's also worth noting a woman can leave a child as well (adoption).
It's also worth pointing out that you have the same rights for financial helps as a parent outside of marriage, so again how does that help?

As a dude - yeah, I wouldn't really mind someone who has a low body count. To me, it's an indicator of maturity, and self respect when it comes to sexual relationships. Zero body count is even better.
I'm 21. A woman my age I'd probably accept one at maximum, someone a few years older than me maybe two. Anything more than that indicates some sort of impulsivity problem, such as alcoholism and sex addiction.
I've already associated myself with women with high body counts - they aren't pleasant people to be around whatsoever behind the facade, as they are usually manipulative and abusive. Don't get me wrong, when I was younger I did find them to be really fun to be around, but I've learned the hard way that these women are damaged, ruthless, and will fuck my life up if I let them - take Johnny Depp for example. It's not worth the headache whatsoever.

Is your body count also one?

Depends what we mean by body count.
If we're talking me sticking my dick in a woman? Zero.
If we're talking sleeping with a woman? One.
If we're talking all relationships? Two.

Alright, it’s just I wouldn’t consider a woman with more than one partner a high body count at 21 but each to their own. All is fair when you also have a low body count.
[–]AccomplishedYak22811 points [recovered] (9 children) | Copy Link
Fair enough, I think my point in general, is that I don't want to have a partner that is emotionally unstable and disrespectful. No one wants that, regardless if you're a man or a woman.
Maybe I'm putting up too many walls and letting my ego run the show too much? Probably. I'm still healing from shit from my past, and healing and evolving is what only really matters in the end for everybody I suppose.

I definitely think there might be a link between a higher body count and mental stability(if you went on a spree and slept 20 guys in the span of a year) but I don’t think it draws the full picture. E.g If she used to sleep a lot at some stage in her life that was 2 years ago I don’t think it reflects on her current mental health. And I definitely think that a woman sleeping with 1-3 people a year is normal, but again, I totally understand if a person with a low body count isn’t comfortable with partners with a higher body count. The problem is a lot of men who sleep around a lot expect women with low body counts sometimes and it’s very hypocritical, which is why I asked you the question.

I think it does subconsciously. I think a woman that sleeps around a lot - she doesn't like being alone. She can't be alone with her own thoughts. Major daddy issues. She probably can't trust herself and has confidence issues.
I don't understand it as a bloke... why go through the hassle of dealing with a load of men she barely knows... when she can orgasm by herself with dildos and vibrators? They're so much simpler... plus she doesn't run the risk of becoming pregnant.

Genuine advice: do not keep your virginity. So many women do that until marriage/wedding and then discover they are completely incompatible with a man they are marrying. If your man is pressuring you to keep it until marriage that’s a big red flag and something is wrong. There are dozens of stories on the internet of women having first sex on their wedding night with their man and then discovering they have some kid of medical condition like micropenis or erectile dysfunction or discovering their man can’t keep it up because of potential hidden homosexuality.
Statistically women who jump into marriage as virgins have higher chance to cheat then experienced women. That’s mostly because they don’t have enough experience to evaluate if their husband is good in bed or not, so they naturally are curious and commit affair.
Overall, don’t worry about virginity at all. It’s a made up concept that just exists in your head
