Woman here, I often read those forums because I'm interested in psychology, and the conclusions I've reached is that the same men who are forever complaining about not getting female attention are also deeply mysoginistic and despise women. Also, they never accept any advice from women regarding how to treat them. So, they're trapped in an echo chamber of anger, hatred and loneliness, which is difficult to escape. I'm sure if their attitude to women were kinder and if they aimed for women more realistically similar in looks, personality, etc to them, their lives might improve.

A lot of people who bluntly admit to not wanting to deal with baggage (of any kind) simply aren't mature enough to actually handle said baggage. And I think it's fair to let them hold onto those opinions. You wouldn't want to force a bad thing.

The problem with dating is so many people choose looks over personality traits. People will frequently date others who aren't a good match--just because they look good.

I think people should recognize when someone has a bad take, and don't try to date or change them. If a guy doesn't want to date baggage, he simply isn't ready for it--and no one should be forcing him.

Additionally, baggage is just a really complex thing. A lot of the red pill men who follow groups like that already have their own trauma and baggage. So even if they were open to dating other people with issues -- the end result isn't often going to be good.

Real trauma isn't something you just sweep under the rug and try and hide to increase your dating odds. It's something people have to actively want to work through and heal.

People with trauma and baggage are absolutely deserving of love. But they shouldn't lose sleep that unqualified people are choosing not to date them. No one is entitled to dating.

Why does it matter what they think? Why do we insist upon seeing misogyny as more complicated than it is?

When I'm deciding whether to take someone seriously or not, I watch them long enough to observe them formulate a premise. Then another. Then another. Then I compare them to see if they contradict each other. Does this form a cohesive worldview? When they explain something that is an area of my expertise, do they speak truthfully? Or do they lie in a way to manipulate those with lesser understanding? If Someone fails these tests, I don't listen to them. Ever. I lose interest in them totally. I do not care if a broke clock is right twice a day. I can find a better mind that works more efficiently and more elegantly to provide that information to me.

For those who care, I can’t comment on the fresh and fit sub for being banned but my comment on ex red pill was……

I see some of their positions, that it wasn’t the rape incident but the hiding of it for so long that made it difficult for the man to come to terms with it. He felt she was a different person when they married and for nine years. Sure, the party and drugs may have eluded to a promiscuous past, but they made a lot of assumptions that that was why the husband reacted how he did and that all people who do drugs are promiscuous. It could have definitely been because he was grossed out by her being raped and had no maturity to empathize or console her, just Shame her. Even if he meant well he lacks communication skills and I can understand how she would feel being shunned like that. But I do see how maybe he felt he didn’t know what to say or react. The point is the fresh and fit fans assumed they knew why the guy reacted the way he did and just like always took the man’s sides unanimously without even trying to see past their own perspective and consider where the girl came from. She acknowledged herself that it was a mistake to wait so long to break the news to him.

Im wondering if she brought it up casually or if it was something that still affects her to this day. Maybe she wanted him to console her and he didn’t know how?? Maybe she should see a therapist to deal with it and recommend that he tries to at least acknowledge that she is getting help and will be okay and he doesn’t have to bare the burden. Or they could just break up if he really is so dumbfounded and can’t see past the situation and realize that many people do indeed get raped while under the influence because it happens to increase a persons vulnerability when they aren’t operating at full capacity. And that rape victims are victims.

A mature partner would either acknowledge and try to see where she came form and forgive her or else explain his position instead of avoiding it and why he might need space or to even break up

It's what happens when you dehumanise any group of people or individuals. People that were abused but never had the courage/strength and/or toolkit/support to work through it finally don't have to be the victim anymore in what they view as a justified setting.

You can track that through history, too. Hitler was abused by his father Alois, who himself had been born out of wedlock to a Jewish father, a great shame to their family. Hitler wanted to flee his home at 11. But couldn't. Then history happened. Stalin, Mao, literally any bully you met at school, they're all the same, just varying in degree and leverage.

If you're in pain, don't ignore it. It doesn't go away on its own, it only festers on its own.

We can't know why the husband in the story behaves like that, he's at least immature and at worst a rape apologist, but I don't see anything wrong with those users' comments. They say that the problem is not rape but her party life, if we take their comments as genuine I see their point.

Most men I know wouldn't marry a person who does drugs and slept around and they don't even know what the Red Pill is. Would they befirend or casually date such a person? Yes, of course they would, but marriage requires a different level of compatibility so discovering that your spouse is a differerent person from what you thought can be very disappointing.

It's called responsibility. We don't know the truth of what happened, but when it comes to responsibility, there is always a double standard. If a man gets drunk and forces himself on a woman, he is guilty of rape, if a woman gets drunk and forces herself on a man, he is guilty of rape if he doesn't let her. If both are drunk, the man is raping. I don't follow content like this because it is toxic anyways. Everyone should take responsibility for their actions. This is why I don't drink, don't go to clubs, or put myself in compromising situations. There is an old saying: Beware the very appearance of evil. Even if you aren't doing anything bad, you put yourself in a bad place, bad things are going to happen. Be responsible for yourself, because no one is going to parent you.
