Before I begin, my stance on abortion is i am pro choice, regardless of what your stance is, it isn’t relevant bc this post isn’t about choosing whether abortion should be legal or not.

In the past we have seen large scale wars and they have always consisted of teenagers being drafted and forced to go.

We won’t go far let’s talk about vietnam, one of the most controversial wars in American history, we had boys being snatched out of high school being sent straight into death and they had absolutely no control over it, if they refused it was jail. We look at ukraine today, men unable to leave and being sent to frontlines under equipped.

Why is it that as soon as abortions are banned we see massive riots and movements (which I agree with) but the second mandatory conscription is abolished or it’s made for both genders it’s a massive uproar and everyone wants it to be put back? Why didn’t 17 year olds being sent to vietnam and Normandy get to say my body my choice?

Another example, a while before Russia invaded ukraine, ukraine had made conscription mandatory for both genders then there was an uproar until women were no longer to made mandatory to fight. In Lithuania mandatory conscription was removed until it was immediately after a female president took power

The point is, why when abortions are messed with we see an uproar of my body my choice but we never see the same about men forced to fight?
