I think this is a vent-post.

I'm just stuck with this question - how do people not see this shit for what it is? We talk all day about how the expectations placed on women are harmful and have held women back, but argue the same for men and you're suddenly considered a reactionary? It's exhausting.

The one quote about most men leading lives of quiet desperation rings so true to me. A ton of men are fucking struggling and hate the role that we got put into, but it's social suicide to talk about it. The main thing I've understood about being an adult male is that no one cares. I gotta be my own best advocate because sure as hell no one else is gonna consider taking up causes that affect me. I just want solidarity for a change. I want to be able to have a conversation with people about how fucking ridiculous some of the things are to "be a man" that doesn't result in being victim-blamed for those very things existing. I didn't ask for this, I didn't make this world. Let men express frustration without shouting them down.
