Honestly i dont buy it. Id never forgive a woman for cheating and no matter what Red Pillers say about alpha chads i dont think that women would ever forgive a man after cheating, no matter the status. Maybe they stay with him because they are spineless worms that are after his money. Weak and pathetic men stay with women because they dont think they can find another. I dont think you are ever over it. I think that itll be on your mind on your last dying breath.

The feeling that you arent enough to someone that is enough for you and them betraying your trust and not even having the common decency to leave you first has to be the worst piece of shit feeling on the planet.

Personally i say no. Cheating is non recoverable for me. I hate cheating so much i will cut off a friend of i found out he or she cheated. My spouse does the same.

Possible but not probable.

Kind of depends on: 1. The core emotional and mental well-being of the people involved. Meaning emotional and mental health prior to the marriage and the infidelity. 2. The quality of the marriage including sex life at earlier times of the marriage. 3. The relationship experience ( including sexual) that the parties had prior to the marriage. 4. The context around the occurrence of the infidelity. 5. The commonality of interests and activities of the people that are non-sexual.

No. As a victim of one I can tell you first hand that you never truly forgive them all the way. It's always in the back of your mind and it's always casting a shadow over your relationship. The circumstances matter and mine were particularly hurtful. It's easy to say that you forgive but the words coming out of your mouth do not equal the feelings in your heart.

I think cheaters often justify their behavior so there's nothing for them to recover from.

The ones who are cheated on? Not really. It'll never leave their mind short of developing memory loss. Friends I know who have been cheated on are definitely less secure in subsequent relationships and are still angry with the person.

you can but it takes time, more than you can imagine. there are a couple subreddits for this. having therapy at school/college campuses is a thing typically included with your tuition, but many employers offer therapy as part of health insurance.

Recover as in getting over it or recover as in continuing the relationship? The former yes. The latter I think it’s possible for a minority of couples, especially if children were involved, although the odds are terrible and personally I wouldn’t even bother trying.

Forgiving your so the cheating? Depends on how much importance you put on sex.

Trusting your next so not to cheat? As with many traumas, it might take a lot of effort and time to get over it.

Depends on who cheats. Cheating is equally morally reprehensible, but if the women cheats she has already checked out of the relationship and lost complete respect for her man. A man can cheat and it only be a physical thing and still love his wife/girlfriend.
