There's an interesting article in The Guardian complaining that women dating Leo are never over 25. Why do women care? Does anyone bat an eye if a woman dates men significantly older, especially if they are wealthy or men of status?

"Obviously, it’s not exactly uncommon for rich men to date women half their age. But DiCaprio’s predilection for women without fully formed prefrontal cortexes has become a cultural talking point and earned a name (Leo’s Law) because of just how strictly he adheres to the age limit."

"While Leo’s Law has sparked a lot of jokes it’s not actually that funny to watch a middle-aged man refuse to date anyone old enough to rent a car without paying an underage driver’s fee. It’s just a bit gross."

And below, if grown men defending another man's ability to date who he wants makes those men misogynists

"A lot of men, of course, will say this is rubbish. I can guarantee you that the moment this article goes live a million misogynistic mansplainers are going to crawl into my Twitter mentions to inform me that there’s nothing creepy about DiCaprio, men are simply hardwired to be attracted to women at the peak of their fertility."

I think there is jealousy and intrasexual competition(Great podcast by Chris Williamson. Only 7 minutes!). Older women see that they've aged out and are frustrated they can't get the men they want - wealthy, successful, men of status. So they malign him with ugly names in order to cover up for their own inadequacies and lack of options.

Id be interested in hearing what women think though, and men too
