For all i know, it's all about good looks. Younger women tend to have better looks. I don't know of anyone who likes women for age per se, except maybe TRPers who think that 50 year old Angelina Jolie is worse than the average looking 20 year old girl. I think a good deal of the obsession of TRPers with young women is to simply try to hold women past 25 to an impossible standard out of revenge fantasy: Since they feel that women have impossible standards on them, then they try to have narrow, impossible, shallow standards "as well" to get back on women.

I'd say most men don't actually prefer younger women. I think we're all trained to see beauty in youth; younger women look more attractive because we're conditioned to see them as so, even though of course older women can still be very attractive. But most of us would prefer someone closer to our own age - either a little younger or a little older - for a list of reasons. Women closer to my age will be in a similar stage in their life and so they'll most likely be looking for something similar.

The idea that older women and younger women will be more/less likely to do anything you've suggested there is based on a very short sighted understanding of women. Younger women are not more likely to be after your money, and older women are not less likely to cheat. That's just assumptions based on how you believe women behave, which may well be based on what red pill types tell you about women, which is almost always false.

But as others have said, red pillers prefer younger women because they're less experienced, most likely less sure of themselves because they haven't had that life experience. That will make it harder for her to recognise toxic behaviour or realise that she's in a manipulative or abusive relationship. I see it here on Reddit all the time; women who are being treated like shit and just assume it's normal. They're always either younger women, or women who have only ever been with one partner their whole life.

Alot of older men tell me the opposite about this.

But I say it's either an easier to manipulate thing or baggage due to more life experiences. Those are the usual two answers

I think it is do with perspective that having a young wife is an achievement. If a guy is 36 years old and single his status in society will increase if he marries a young attractive wife.

Most men who date in their peer group are in age gap 2-3 so they are not thinking about it.

Young woman are naive and many will fall for smooth talk and no actions to follow. Older men can easily manipulate them with minimal attention.

I think there's lots of reasons, but since I fall into this category, I guess I can give my own.

I'm dating a woman 14 years younger than me, but I didn't chase her. She came to me, and I didn't accept the relationship until us two really talking through it a lot. Because it was certainly different from dating someone within 5 years of my usual.

I think a little backstory helps. I've always only dated for marriage, so my history is 3 long-term relationships, 8 years, 4 years, and 3 years. The two longer stints were cohabitation. So I'm not some 'player' looking for cheap thrills. I'm just a guy chasing that American dream. Get married, buy the house, have kids and so on.

But as many of us know, that doesn't really work out, lol. So anyways, to the meat of the issue.

When I came out of my most recent long-term relationship at 33, it was amazing just how different the dating landscape had changed.

When you're 30+, there's really three major groups of people.
-the super high standard folks who don't settle for anything but the best
-the crazy people who can't keep a relationship no matter how hard they try
-and people like myself, who had a failed relationship, but generally know how to have one.

I spent a few years feeling around the dating scene. Red Pill is a lot of bullshit, but there are women who are my age that expect a guy to be making 200 grand and have a doctorate, and work out all the time. I feel like people's standards constantly increase as they age, and some of them price themselves right out of the market. they're allowed to do that, but I'm not gonna date those people.

Additionally, I won't date the crazy people who can't hold onto a relationship. I'm talking the people with severe mental-illness. They can't hold down a job. They have really bad anxiety, depression, or they're just really political and toxic. Again, totally entitled to their opinions. But not my style.

Another sub-group of the crazy demographic are the ones so burned out by failed relationships, that they're essentially toxic to the idea.

And what that leaves you is basically trying to find other fresh singles who've lived the cohabitation life before. They know how to be an equal partner. But they're really rare, lol. GOOD PEOPLE don't last on the market long. They get into relationships, and they stay in them. Which is good. That's what they want.

So at the end of the day, finding a relationship as older person isn't quite something you hunt for. You just kinda live your life and hope to Jebus you run into one of the good ones on a fluke, and then when you do -- you give it your all, because that's the miracle waiting to happen.

Anyways, that was more ramble, but still important info, lol!

Younger people are just more good people before they're in relationships. They have less baggage. They're less demanding or entitled. They're more open to compromise, and working as a team. Not so set in their ways. They're willing to learn and adapt.

I think any good person should be willing to compromise and work with a partner to build the best team. And it's one thing I truly appreciate about my younger partner, is that she can help teach and remind me that I should never stay stuck in my own ways.

I value her innocent and optimistic way of the world a lot, because I truly believe she helps me be a better person. She shows me the good in people when the cynic in me wonders what the catch is.

But generally speaking. Had she been my age, I'd be totally cool with that too. I didn't approach her for her age. She came to me. And all of our core beliefs align up, and we're compatible. So we're making a try at it.

The fact that she doesn't have baggage is a lot of positivity though. She's never been burned or hurt. She loves like she's never been hurt. I'm old enough, and experienced enough (again, almost 15 years of long term relationships), that I'm aware of a lot of the pain points relationships have. I'm good at communication. I've gone to therapy (after my last break-up). I know how to problem solve and resolve conflicts.

It really is a golden opportunity to give relationships another try while having the innocent magic of benevolent love while also having the wisdom to preserve and maintain it.

I typically don't see the age gap as a 'status symbol' as some men might. It's honestly a lot of drama having to explain it all the time. "wow she looks so young!" Yeah, well, she's really a vampire, so don't get on her bad side ^.^

Younger women are usually better looking than older women. (Yes, I know there are exceptions, but young people are better looking than older people on average.)
As others have pointed out, younger women have less life experience and are more likely to fall for their manipulation.
This is more of a guess, but since many of these guys weren't getting laid when they were in high school/college, it's possible that they gravitate towards younger women to make up for what they missed out on.
If they want children, they'll probably gravitate towards younger women. Most older women have children already, and these men don't want to raise someone else's kids. A younger women is less likely to have had children before. Even if they do find a woman their age who doesn't have kids, there's a good chance that those women have decided they don't ever want kids. I'm not going to into the possible fertility issues because I don't have enough knowledge on the subject.

I think you're failing to consider that people look for different things, and there are different approaches to finding a life partner.

Additionally, I don't actually see a big emphasis in RP about finding a partner, it's often about attracting women and having sexual partners. Monogamous long term relationships are not an esteemed goal in RP lore.

According to RP, it's due to fertility and the fact that signs of youth and consequently health are universally attractive to men and women.

If you want a family, the odds of fertility are better with younger healthy partners. (This is true for both men and women.)
Less baggage. Something I've found as a common point of contention among my male and female friends is the trauma and issues that people develop with years of dating experience and having a number of exes. That stuff can be tricky to overcome and work with when your partner has developed issues in relationships due to bad exes.
Easier to shape into your desired partner. I've heard this discussed by a number of RP gurus, and it's actually true in my experience. I think there is an appeal in RP to find younger, less experienced women who don't have an established strong sense of self, and instead can be modified and shaped into the kind of woman the man is looking for.

My two exes were older than me, and they were stubborn as hell. Whereas now, being partnered with a younger man is a totally different experience. He takes my lead, he's really flexible, he wants to learn to be a good partner and he hasn't had bad experiences with exes that have hardened him, created blind spots or some kind of relational trauma that he brings into our relationship. So I do understand how dating a relationship "novice" comes with a set of tradeoffs that will be more desirable by some.

Three reasons for me are

1.) Younger women are more attractive (obvious)

2.) Younger women seem to have higher libidos and enjoy sex more, with fewer "sorry, not in the mood" instances.

3.) Younger women tend to be more affectionate and supportive. I feel less stressed out, I feel more like a man, and I just have less everyday malaise.

For reference, I'm 32 and "older" here means my age or a year older, and "younger" means 24-28.

When you live life as a high value man, a man who is in charge of his life and increasing his value in society and the dating marketplace, women younger and older choose you, I,d be a fool to choose an older car as opposed to a newer car when it comes to my daily driver for several reasons reliability being the main issue, I'm not saying women are cars, I'm not saying older cars aren't as good as new cars cause I know people like to completely ignore the point being made and take everything literal. All the most successful men in our society and all over the world for the most part date younger prettier women. I think a lot of guys here are just upset that they can't compete and or partake in the dating market place in the same manner higher value guys can and so they come up with excuses or insults to make themselves feel better about their shortcomings. To top it all off these guys who have worked on themselves so much in order to gain the attraction they receive from older and younger women, these guys get all the women and play in the world, they're certainly happier than us and.instead of taking a play out their book we tear them down, again to make ourselves feel better about our situations.

I am an older guy and I do not agree with this. As people get older the sleeping around and cheating is off the scale. Especially when them mfers start hitting the 45+ with viagra. I found out even women take that stuff. But yeah, the cheating is definitely there after 30 and it's not going away.

None of the reasons that RP gives for that are valid. I like younger women because I feel good in their company and I find them attractive. Perhaps it is due to social change but young people tend to be more open and compassionate than my cohort, so it is easy to find common language and values with women 5-10yrs younger. Single women my age and older tend to be more focused on strict gender roles, money, and required more unreciprocated emotional support from me. Younger women only wanted to know that I am happy with my situation, or more often did not ask about my job at all and just wanted a connection, relationship or simply a nice experience. So, for me they are more attractive, but for the opposite reason they are supposed to according to RP.
