In cases where men have groomed underage girls, the girls also feel like they hit the jackpot, that is the whole point of grooming vs abduction and kidnapping.

The last major case here that I can remember between a teacher and an underage girl, the court revealed text messages of them both messaging each other with how much they love each other and how excited they are about spending time with each other etc.

I'm sure the 13 year old girl also felt she had hit the jackpot.

Obviously, this isn't something that should be used to defend the rapist, regardless of if they are male or female.

This gets weird. So in the UK 13-15 year olds have to capacity to consent to sex, however it is still illegal for an adult to engage in sex with them. If the judge believes the child consented then there is a separate offence it falls under instead of 'rape' or 'causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.'

If you look at the sentencing guidelines, the judge initially charged her with Culpability A, Category 2 with a 2 year custodial order but this section below allows the judge to offer a community order in place of prison:

Where there is a sufficient prospect of rehabilitation, a community order with a sex offender treatment programme requirement under part 3 of Schedule 9 of the Sentencing Code can be a proper alternative to a short or moderate length custodial sentence.

So the real question is would the judge consider the child to have consented if they were a girl knowing that they were groomed? I very much doubt it.

I wouldn’t call a 15 year old a little boy. But if he was a 15 year old girl and his teacher male, the teacher would be called a pedophile, a rapist and vile filth.

In Australia we have a woman, Grace Tame, who was a 15 year old that “had sex with her teacher”, except the teacher was a man, and so she’s a victim of child rape, her rapist was jailed, and she’s a celebrity that is regularly quoted on all sorts of issues and opens her mouth about national politics (one of her close relatives is a State MP - which helps).

I do not believe that if he were “Greg Tame” he’d get even a quarter of the attention or 1/10th the sympathy. Does anyone else?

Shit like this is why I can't take any "men hate women" or "we live in a patriarchy!" arguments seriously. This is not something that is possible in a society where men hate women. The victim's predisposition and reaction to the crime, compared to how women would be socialized to react to the same crime, most certainly indicates a hatred for men, not women. The way people make excuses for her behavior, which wouldn't happen for men committing the same crime, also certainly indicates a much higher degree of compassion, tolerance or protection for women than men.

By coincidence I was watching a couple of Hansen vs. Predator on YT last night and many of the guys in these episodes are early to late 30s trying to solicit sex from 13 year olds. They end up pleading guilt to multiple felonies and receiving anywhere from 6 to 10 years in prison.

How is what she did any different? She groomed a 15 year old, raped him, gave him drugs, had indecent images of a child, and yet she walks free. It doesn’t even mention that she has to register as a sex offender, only 60 day’s of probation.

Absolutely sickening that this human filth is allowed to be free and potentially abuse more children. And anyone who allowed this to happen should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

I can’t speak to this case or what the boy is feeling, but at 16 I had sex with my 25 year old neighbor and it was awesome.

It was actually a confidence builder for me. I started out just shooting the breeze with her when I’d see her out. Then I started complimenting her any time I could. Then I started with the “if I were older or you were younger.” bit because I figured she’d think it was flattering, but still comical to think about me hitting on her. I knew I had nothing to lose and I said things to her I would be too afraid to say to girls my age.

At some point she started throwing it back at me. I think both of us were wondering if the other was really serious. Both too afraid to do anything other than talk.

But It was easy enough for her to come up with a bogus reason to need my help at her place and the moment we’re were alone in private, I think we both knew what was up. The way we both slammed into each other and started kissing is something I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

I love my wife more than anything, but that was one of the hottest things that ever happened to me. I’ve told her about it and she thinks it was wrong. But I have absolutely no regrets.

I feel like this is such a grey area. It’s so hard to put hard rules on it because, I feel like in my case, no harm was done and she was absolutely not a bad person. I pressured her, not the other way around.

I have 2 (now grown) daughters and I had often thought about how I’d feel if one or both of them had a scenario similar to mine. It’s a tough situation. I don’t know what girls are going through in their teens years. So, without it actually happening and talking with her about it, idk what I would do. But I know how I felt and I know it was a good experience.
