I was on another sub and one person said this:

"One problem, the term incel is widely different as involuntary celibate. I identify as an involuntary celibate and not an incel because I definitely do not support the extremism and hate towards women."

Then I responded by saying this:

"Incel is involuntarily celibate."

I was downvoted for saying that. I only use incel as involuntary celibate. Some people link other traits with incels like misogyny. I believe one can be a normal, healthy person and still be an incel. That's why I don't think it should be used as an insult.

The Google definition of incel is:

A member of an online community of young men who consider themselves unable to attract women sexually, typically associated with views that are hostile toward women and men who are sexually active.

I disagree with the online community part. Incels don't have to join any online community and they don't have to be hostile towards women and men who are sexually active. Google also misuses the word in my opinion.

That's why left wingers and feminists use the word as an insult. They think all incels are misogynists.

I think all celibate people should be called celibate. It doesn't matter if the reason for being celibate is voluntary or involuntary. Are there celibate men who hate women? Of course, but some sexually active men do as well.

I was accused of being a misogynist. A misogynist is someone who hates all women. I only hate TOXIC women. I hate them for their toxic behavior, not because they are women. That is not misogyny.
