If I was told that certain inequities that men generally face were made more equal, and there were a number of reliable studies to support those claims, then I would, as I imagine the majority (if not all) of the men here would gladly welcome that news.

For example, if we were told that recent studies now reveal that...

men and women face the same incarceration rates, men and women have an equal say in parental rights, men and women are both required to sign up for the draft, men and women are equally recognized in domestic violence stats and shelters, men and women both retain joint custody of children in family court (outside of extenuating circumstances) men and women now are given equal consideration in cases of rape accusations

etc.,

then I feel as if we would all embrace that sort of news.

Why is it then that most feminists fervently deny that the wage gap is purely a myth and that men and women basically earn the same amount of money for any given job, and that earning potential is a product of choice rather than discrimination?
