How dare someone try to make a post detailing issues men face. God I hate reading huffpo and their comments, glad this article went up on huffpo though. So many comments saying things like how its not so bad cause men do the majority of raping and abductions, how some women face double standards all the time too.

It's just not possible to have one god damn story talking about an issue men face without people like this, oh but women have it worse so we shouldn't focus on your issue yet.

But this is why strangers kids are on their own around me if they ever get in trouble and are alone. Won't go near them, won't help them, won't save them. Just shoo them away like pigeons, and inform the nearest vagina.

I'll take the charge for not helping a stranger over attempted child abduction accusations any day of the week.

Personally, I know two guys who have had their children abducted - by the child's mother. I have a friend who regularly experiences mini-abductions - where the childs mother refuses to return the child until the whim strikes her or changes the pickup to make herself happy.

I have never met a person who has had a child abducted by a man.

also we should remove all children from their mothers unless they are supervised by a male. i mean it is common knowledge that the majority of child abuse is by women so clearly all women should be treated as child abusers. can't trust a woman with a child.

Usually I agree with the views expressed here, although this time I disagree. I'm all for mens rights, but the safety of children is paramount in my mind. Perhaps, to that woman, the situation between the uncle, grandfather and child looked questionable. None of us know how it actually looked, but to see someone hauling off a crying child is enough to raise alarms to me. At the very least, I'd keep an eye on them. I'll admit that were it two women, something might not have been said.
