My ex-wife posts this sort of shit all the fucking time. Bashing on me for not being there, when I have my son every weekend. Bitching about how I screwed her over and never pay my share.

All the while never acknowledging that she is the one that left me and stole my son from me, literally not letting me see him for months on end. And she left me within months of me herniating a disc in my lower back (which still makes it hard for me to find and keep gainful employment, unfortunately), working my ass off to provide for our little family while she stayed at home and did nothing but bitch at me for doing "my share" of the chores.

Shit. I raised my two girls by myself for seven years, and my ex-wife contributed jack and shit to help. And yet, she was always viewed as a sweet woman and I was a jerk.

Is this really a question? No! Single parents do the jobs of both parents. It's HARD! One of my friends is a single dad, and he posted something similar to this on Mother's Day. You just... don't do stuff like that. Have a heart, man.

I know a woman who posts stuff like this on her facebook.

When she was with her husband... She was a "stay-at-home mom" who did literally nothing. Her husband worked all day, came home to cook dinner, do dishes and do laundry. When the phone would ring in the room she was sleeping in, she'd yell loudly downstairs at her husband to get the phone for her. He'd run up the stairs and answer the phone that was right next to the bed that she was sleeping in.

She abused the fuck out of this dude. Then one day, he cheated on her and she found out.

After the divorce, she has primary custody. He pays child support.

Constant facebook statuses about how he's a loser who can't even take care of his kids.

Recent story I heard is that she's constantly abusing the kids as the neighbors have complained about how loud the yelling is in the house. And one particular story I heard of her putting a knife to her sons neck and threatening to kill him with it.

Would never know that she's a waste of space judging by her facebook statuses; where she is an empowered, 'hard working' (part-time clerk at a grocery store) single mother fighting the patriarchy.

This stuff makes me fucking sick.

When things like this comes across my facebook page, I write a short comment stating why I disagree with it. I explain my concern about the poster having such a vicious and divisive opinion on the subject, and that I'm saddened that we can't be friends anymore.

I'm tired of this attitude. When I see "proud single moms" I can't help but think, "YOU'RE the one who spread your legs for the first douchbag who wanted to get into your pants. YOU'RE the one who didn't use birth control, or ensure he was using a condom. Tough rocks, glad you love your kid, but that doesn't make it the man's fault. It takes two to tango."

It really depends on the person posting it. If you know their story, and it so happens that the father is out of the picture as a result of her actions to see that he was, say something. If the father is out of the picture because she's a slut who regularly sleeps with guys "like that", say something. Otherwise, say nothing.

There are only 3 ways a woman is a single mom. 2 of the 3 are her fault, first: She is a widow, okay that sucks and I have nothing but sympathy. 2: she is bugfuck insane and drives men away, believe me it takes a lot to make a man walk away for his own mental survival. 3: he is a d-bag asshole. Well who's fault is it ha she decided to fuck conceive and keep said d-bags child? We know men have no reproductive rights so who's fault is it?

In the end the children are the biggest losers here, I pity a child who grows up in a home with a parent who resents the opposite sex. All it does is breed more disfunction.
