This is absolutely rampant in OLD especially with men who consider themselves 'alternatives' in some way, such as perceived higher intelligence or less mainstream (but ironically very mainstream) interests. So many dudes demand women must be able to hold a conversation, but when i took the initiative to message first (as I always did) and immediately start off asking about something the mentioned on their profile, they were unable to give anything more than surface level answers....which dissolved into base pleasantries.

Like, if I wanted to ask a dude how his day was and he just said 'good thanks'...I'd go text my father.

"Please know how to hold a conversation" is a red flag for me. Most of the time, they are the ones that can't have a conversation. But either way, it just comes off as condescending.

Lol typical. I unmatch these socially inept wank baboons so fast my thumb gets a cramp. The whole "don't be boring/knOw hOw tO hOld a ConvErsAtiOn" from hypocritical men who can't do that gets so old.

I've noticed the venn diagram of men who lead insanely boring lives, are terrible conversationalists/socially inept, and who somehow think they're so endlessly interesting we would happily break our back carrying the entire convo on OLD is usually a circle.

It's amazing me how blind men are, and hypocritical they are to their own shortcomings. If they're insecure (which, a majority of them are... to an extensive degree) they become a vintage movie projector.

You have to learn how to manslate; "must be able to carry a conversation" means he doesn't know how to talk to people but it's the woman's fault. I mean how many women do you really know that can't carry at conversation? I've maybe met 3 in my life.
