An alpha is a man who women find sexually attractive.

A beta is a man who is only attractive to women because of his resources or emotional support.

An omega provides neither of these for women and is therefore unsuccessful with them.

Others will argue more specific definitions, but that’s the basics of it.

Men can have both alpha and beta traits. The ideal long-term partner for a woman has a healthy mix of alpha and beta traits.

Sigma is just some subtype of loner alpha based upon the notion that most alphas are social and likely dominant in their peer groups. I’m not sure what deltas supposedly are.

Alpha: leader. Think commanding officer, president or head coach.

Beta: leader but to a lesser degree. Think executive officer (military second in command), vice president or assistant coach. Has the tools to step up and fill in in the alpha's absence but isn't the primary leader by default.

Omega: follower. The men who are generally referred to as betas are actually omegas. But since people are dumb they call them betas anyway.

Sigma: loner. May have the hard technical skills to be competent but not the soft people skills to be a leader. Think of a subject matter expert in a highly technical field. They're the go to guy on certain matters but they don't directly supervise or manage any subordinates. They're in charge of things, not people. Or may be a hermit who flies below the radar, shows up every day, does his job and goes home.

Those are the general definitions. This is how they apply to the world of dating and mating:

Alpha: Invests very little time and resources into women but gets his dick wet anyway.

Beta: Gets his dick wet but has to invest time and resources or provide commitment.

Omega: incel. Jacks off to porn.

Sigma: mgtow. Walks away and doesn't play the game.

Betas and omegas are the target audience for PUAs and other manosphere grifters. These grifters promise to provide the secret that will elevate betas and omegas to alpha status for a consultation fee of $1,000 per hour.

The first thing to clear up is that all definitions have two use cases - it can apply to who you are as a human being, and your actions as a human doing.

Example: A maths professor buys a lotto ticket. He is a SMART man who did a DUMB action.

This is how you can BE alpha, but ACT beta.

At the highest level, this distinction of value as human being and human doing is at the core of alpha and beta.

An alpha - women want to fuck him, because of who he IS as a human BEING. NO ACTION, no effort or exchange or input, is required for him to get laid.

A beta - he can still get laid, but he needs to DO or GIVE something for him to get laid. He is valued as a human DOING. It is the norm to call a beta, a betabux because the exchange is often monetary, but for men to provide anything, whether it be give attention and comfort, counts.

A sigma, is basically an alpha bux. A man who has both alpha and beta characteristics, or otherwise so valued that he gets laid regardless. The holy grail of being a man.

An omega - is the opposite of sigma. A man with neither characteristics.

beta-bucks is a term meaning beta is using his bucks, his resources to attract women in the fatherly/provider way, but not much sexual attraction...the guy women settle for later on.

Don't quote me on this but I think sigma was meant to be a high level dude who didn't care about any of this but it was immediatley used by incels to declare themselves high value without needing relationships. To my understanding, the more scientific definition of an alpha male would basically be the leader of the pack who as a result gets most of the females for whatever species they are. But specifically with incel/RP lingo, their definition specifically focuses on getting a lot of women and who also has status.

Beta males would be considered the followers, meaning they follow the alphas and aren’t in any sort of leadership role. But in regards to rp/incel lingo, it’s just indirect way of calling someone a pussy or a bitch.

Sigma males I think are supposed to be like confident loners or something. Like a James Bond or John Wick type personality. But I think incels have adapted it as a way of coping with the fact that they’re socially awkward.

Delta/omega I have no clue.

Bear in mind, it's all bullshit. But here I go (based off both Redpill and blackpill interpretations):

Alpha - often referred to as Chad, natural leader, cocky, extroverted, has certain physical traits like being tall or having a strong jaw, gets all the girls.

Beta - often referred to as a normie, physically unremarkable, introverted, unassertive, unsuccessful with women unless they get beta bucks

Beta bucks - Full title "Alpha fucks beta bucks". Basically means that women will have hot sex with loads of chads, once they get bored or rejected too many times for a relationship they'll settle down with a Beta who is a more reliable partner (and have boring sex once a month I'd they're lucky)

Sigma - complete bullshit that was invented just to explain away men who clearly aren't your typical alpha/Chad yet still get laid. They live "outside the hierarchy" and are just so cool or mysterious that women love it.

I think Incels will occasionally refer to themselves as omega, i.e. completely fucked from birth? Could be wrong.
