I’ve always thought it was more about it coming across as another sign of health and success in acquiring resources. Historically (and still today in food-insecure areas) potential adult height was really constrained by nutrition. During most of our evolutionary time, taller height relative to the norm in an area would sure seem like that person came from a family or community that was healthier and had better success in securing food.

I fit into the arms of my partner who is 4 inches taller then I am. When I wanted to I could wear platforms. He is for the record the tallest man I've seriously dated, and I've had sex with men shorter than I am.

Chad's also dismisses women who are taller then them, unless they are a runway model. .

Larger women tend to not look like runway models, they are taller, but also thicker all around. Just like short guys with exception tend to have fine bones, small hands etc.

Being 5.7 I'm the optimal height for guys who are around 6 feet. Able to be leggy but also fairly fined-boned. Between 5.5 and 5.8 is the sweet spot for women. Any shorter and a larger percentage will be prone to a apple shape as they grow older, and taller and a larger percentage of women will look thicker then the normal Instagram model.

There are tons of exceptions, like French women who are fine boned and short, Scandinvians, but facts is facts, on average very short and very tall women struggle to find a guy who will pick her as his future wife, who has options for anyone else, and isnt fetish ing her .

Height is correlated with high testosterone in the womb. So are the ability to grow facial and body hair, square jaws, broad shoulders, muscles; etc. basically blame your dads for being low T nerds and not giving you enough testosterone hereditarily.

I don't think using these mma statistics is reliable because there are strict rules. Any sport rules causes specialization. With any form of specialization it leaves you vulnerable to things outside of what you specialize in. Of course against the average Joe you are way better off but that's because they don't actively train so aren't a jack of trades or a master of anything.

There are several reasons for why women are attracted to tall men.

It takes a lot of resources for men to grow tall, as historically men have always been under 6 feet.

Thousands and Thousands of years ago Pharaoh Ramesses II was considered to be very tall at 5'8'' even though that's pretty short for an adult man these days, even the average Dutch woman is only one inch shorter than that, and there's plenty of Dutch women who are 6+ feet tall, so this Ancient African King was considered to be very manly due to his height.

Sickly boys tend to be short. That a boy grows to be 6+ feet tall tells about his genetic fitness and overall good health, and taller men make women feel smaller, more feminine, more delicate, and that makes them feel good about themselves, and it makes them feel attracted to the tall guy.

Back in college the 4'9'' to 5'2'' girls were dating the 6'6'' guys which left the tall girls for the short guys, it was quite funny now that I think about it.

Tall, usually means he comes from a wealthy family, a family that can easily acquire food, and women would often find themselves attracted to the guy because of that.

Even guys are impressed by tall guys. Today I went grocery shopping and as I am laying down the bags on the floor to get my keys from my pocket, the building's entrance door opens, and when I look to see whom it was... none other than a 6'6'' dude. Man, I felt instantly intimidated!

It just looks better. Taller guys (usually 6'2-6'4 range, when you get taller than that they usually start to have horse face) have better proportions. Short limbs are wack.

I think the same of women as well. Give me a 6' woman over a 5 footer any day. Those legs would be killing me.

I like the look of height the most. It’s a physical attribute that I find attractive.

short men are harder to fight and this is wrong- height obsession is just daddy issues and arrested psychological development because they have to look up at a man like when they were 4 years old.

combat readiness is an essential element of attractiveness but tall people can be dropped as readily as anyone, especially with rocks, the use of which as missile weapons are millions of year baked into our own evolution as a species.
