First off, women are protected from having parts of their genitals amputated, and men are not. I can show you peer reviewed, proven studies (Sorrels et al 2007) that the foreskin is responsible for the majority of male sexual sensitivity. This is the largest discrimination between the sexes by far, and anyone who disagrees is wrong and immoral. There is no female issue that comes close to mutilating boys genitals for no reason at all

Not to forget they psychotically deny and retreat when confronted about the subject. Researches on sexuality comparing both genders use circumcised subjects because male integrity doesn't matter.

I live in Australia. I was circumcised at the age of 10. When I was born it was unlikely I would survive so my parents didn't worry about circumcising me. I managed to cling onto life. Fast forward 10 years latter because my mother was a religious fanatic I was sent to hospital to be circumcised. It was painful, humiliating and unnecessary. It's unnecessary and evil.

I’ve posted this before but I don’t get why men don’t stand up and protest this more? Are you waiting for women to do it? What’s preventing men from protesting this? Most of the women in my life who got pregnant with a boy just say - whatever the dad wants to do is what we’ll do. I’ve literally never even heard of a case where a woman wanted to circumcise the son and the dad was opposed.

Just curious about circumcision in a men’s rights sub. Men all have a right to not circumcise their sons, don’t they?

While you are correct, that women have more rights than men, the hyperbolic nature of your argument allows people to nitpick your semantics and ignore the actual message.

If you would just take out things like "anyone who disagrees is wrong and immoral." and "Mutilating an infants genitals is worse than raping a baby." it would be much stronger.

Try not to use opinions when you are arguing factually. You have a great list of facts (btw don't forget the military, dangerous jobs in general etc). You don't need to interject your opinion and allow others to ignore the facts and concentrate on your opinion, derailing the point.

Completely agree on Circumcision. I think it's barbaric and should be illegal unless absolutely necessary. It's a sleeve made for jerking off, why take it away? Jerking off Circumcised penises feel like it just doesn't work... plus doesn't your head rub against your jeans?? Most importantly why the fuck do that to a baby.

Parental rights, absolutely agree as well men get the short straw on that one and shouldn't. Everything should be 50/50.

That said there are still injustices as women but at this point, in Canada at least, it's less a matter of rights and more a matter of how we are perceived, judged, valued and treated. Men who think women are less smart, less funny, only good to be obedient housewives. It's the fact that a woman over 30 is considered loose, old and obselete. It's the fact that I considered cutting my own labia as a 13 years old cause I didn't look like a pornstar. It's worrying that our tits are too saggy, our nipples too big. I got followed from the bus to my appartement by a man when I was 17. I got roofied at 23. (Nothing happened just slept on my friend but still)... i did stuff with a 27 Years old when I was 15 and I'd cut his balls off if I saw him now. And this is just my experience. The amount of teenagers I knew who had sex with men over 30 is absolutely disgusting.

And in America, not being able to get an abortion, especially as a kid or as someone having an ectopic pregnancy is absolutely horrible.

I mean, I don’t believe in circumcision, but in all fairness in a fair portion of the country now, a woman will die before receiving a lifesaving abortion. Children are denied abortions. You get some skin snipped which, again I don’t believe in but it barely affects you. Like truly it heals and then nothing for the rest of your life. You hear stories of family’s circumcising girls as well.

Sadly in America, yes, many males deal with genital mutilation. But so do many females who genitals don’t align with the typical female genital expression. This is a massive issue that needs to be addressed across the board, but to say it’s male specific is untrue.
When it comes to alimony, each state has different laws and procedures, but usually it’s based on the length of the marriage, the incomes of both people, and the reason for separation. But sadly, because of traditional gender roles women are expected to be the homemaker and child caregivers so they end up receiving alimony. Where I’m from we refer to it as “spousal maintenance” and most of these cases are agreed upon by both parties OUTSIDE of court where the person paying pays a one-time payment known as a “contractual alimony” to avoid monthly payments. “Spousal maintenance ordered by the court is designed to help the receiving spouse eventually become self-supporting. It is not meant to support them for the rest of their life. Unless the recipient spouse, or any child in their care, is physically or mentally disabled, maintenance can last no longer than a certain number of years determined by the judge and capped according to the length of the marriage.”
If by divorce court disparities you mean family court and the custody of children, men get custody of children 80% of the time when they fight for it in court. Women get custody ~90% of the time in general because majority of these cases are once against decided OUTSIDE of court and agreed upon by both parties, in which the mother is often in charge of child care and often makes less. And in fact, when women accuse their spouse of any abuse to them or their child they lose custody 28% of the time. Whereas when men accuse their spouse of abuse, they lose custody only 12% of the time. Family court disparities are absolutely real, but they manifest in a different way than we think. In general, we need to reform these systems to better advocate for the child’s best interest, not any gender based presumptions.
Sexual assault against men is viewed as trivial because of misogyny and misandry. Misogyny paints women as weak and men as strong, when we think a group is weak, we think how could they possibly be an abuser or a perpetrator. And we ask, if men are strong, why couldn’t he have just protected himself? But clearly this is an extremely fictitious ideal that hurts male victims. Both feminists and men’s rights activists care about ALL victims receiving justice. And both parties should want to eliminate these untrue and harmful gender norms.
