Found Laura Doyle thru this sub. Did 1 month of her group coaching program and then ended up signing up for her 6 mo Coach Training program and it has been a life changer.

Initially I was diving into her trainings to “save” my 12 year relationship, but the relationship ended which was hard (would have been harder without the support of my coach training group) but it was what needed to happen and I am so much better off. I had the skills to heal myself quickly and attract my true soulmate at record speed and am finally happily settled and pregnant at 35!

Yes!!!! I feel like I'm in a pyramid scheme the way I push her information. 😂 Laura has seriously changed my life in the BEST way possible. I love her podcast and use it for self care when I need some reminders. This is my FAVORITE sub on Reddit and I'm so grateful to have like-minded women to talk with, because being a submissive wife is "controversial" with a lot of my friends.

Time to plug her book for those not yet married I wish were recommended more! (I know OP is married and absolutely should be using The Empowered Wife.)

Personally, I really like some of her writing, and really dislike some. Like... yes I AM telling my husband that he missed the highway exit? His masculinity is not going to crumble under the weight of a "Uh, I think that was our exit - or are you taking a different route?" - he's going to thank me and keep driving and our marriage won't be doomed. And no I am not staying with a man who's verbally abusive and no I am not causing the verbal abuse by disrespecting him???

I love LD.

Got the book, tested it for 2 weeks and saw huge changes. It led to peace for the first time in 5 years. I signed up for coaching later, but he ended up having his own things to handle and walked out randomly. Coaching helped me to control my anger, sadness, and frustration - and I showed up to the phone proceedings with dignity.

The day before signing… he called to tell me we didn’t have to do this.

I had to tell him I’d already given my heart away. It was so sad - he just needed his own time to heal. I’d already sold the house, moved on, and had a beautiful relationship started.

Thank goodness for those skills. I almost lost the new relationship due to my own timelines. I wanted marriage and kids, when 1 year into the engagement he suddenly thought he was too old for kids now! 5 months of me reverting back to pre-skills me, and then I saw I was repeating that pattern of impatience. Then 5 months of doubling down on skills… he came one day and TOLD ME we were getting married and apologized. He had his own things to work through, apologized and even explained - he was scared his fertility wouldn’t let me have the kids I wanted.

It’s been beautiful AGAIN ever since. I almost lost him, but he found his own healing and I saw I just had to have patience and keep myself dignified.

I'd also like to thank this community for introducing me to Laura Doyle's books. I'm currently reading The Surrendered Wife and a lot of it resonates with me. Happy marriage and wonderful husband but I want it even better! I love her ideas about trust issues leading to control issues and how to give that up and relax and also share greater intimacy. As someone who tends to stress unnecessarily her book is really helping me. Now I'm curious about The Empowered Wife too. Thank you!

I agree. She saved my marriage with her advice. I took everything she gave me and ran with it. I listen to her often on her podcast and I am SO grateful someone mentioned for me to read her when I was in such a bad place in my marriage. She was literally a godsend and I can’t thank her enough.
