I've noticed that women often make a big deal when they see a woman who is older than 20 dating a man who is 10, 20, or 30 years older than her. It's as if women believe that a 21-year-old woman is a 'little girl' who needs 'protection' from other women.

Women can harm men through various means: paternity fraud, baby trapping, alimony, parental alienation, etc.

An older woman is more likely to be well-versed in those tactics and a young man is less likely to have a solid defense against those tactics.

Young men are less likely to ask for a prenup.

Young men are less likely to ask for a paternity test.

Young men are more likely to trust a woman when she says “yeah I’m on birth control!”

Young men are more likely to take off the condom because she “can’t have kids anyway the doctor said so.”

And older women who are desperate and lonely are more likely to take advantage of young men who don’t know any better. Older men have been through that shit and know how to call it.

I would say men in general don’t care. It goes to maturity level. After divorce my first gf I was 38m and she was 27f. The bonding was great but intellectually and life experience-wise, there was nothing we had in common. Nice girl but not stimulating in any other way. Closer to my own age was much better. For me the range was 5 years younger to 10 years older than me and we had a great time together. Attractive, confident and spending Quality time together plus, loyalty and respect are the most important. I couldn’t find that in younger women.

If it works out your minimum is seventeen, then you should raise it to eighteen; likewise dropping your lower limit from twenty five to twenty four is acceptable.
