Very interesting post. This is the way it has been since the beginning of mankind. Women can be quite liberal when it suits them, but when it doesn't, they're considered 'traditional.' What's funny is how some of these women will claim that men throughout history have been 'sexist.'

I personally oppose illegal immigration, but I can't help but find it interesting that many people who oppose it will say things like, 'This is sickening, only young men are coming here'... as if they believe that the life of a young man is not as valuable as that of a woman. Very sad

Based. Women say men who don't want to die being butchered are cowards and traitors. Then they run as refugees to Western countries where they are treated with compassion and people offer them jobs and treat them nicely, while the poor guy who maybe is a geek or a pianist is sent to fight warlords, and he losts a leg or an eye or his life.
Then once in the West, those women will learn to scream at men to stop mansplaining and to deconstruct their toxic masculinity.
At least in countries like Israel, Norway or Sweden, both genders have to serve in the army. I think it's more than fair.

It’s hard facts like this that pretty quickly shut down the “men are oppressors” argument.

Another favorite of mine is to point out the male to female fatality rate on the titanic. Everyone knows the phrase “women and children first” and the result is that 80% of the deaths were male.

The reality here is that this is not a competition, and getting to this point in modern society has been messy. Both sexes have been oppressed and the way forward is acceptance and forgiveness.

Actually in Poland people have turned on zelensky, (mostly for him hating on us for no reason) but also for a draft. This point is exactly why feminism isn't about equality (and men don't need mens rights). It does a fine job at making things more equal when times are good but when things go south suddenly it's still women and children first or men to the front line. Modern feminism is still about making the good times better while completely failing to address who is still footing the bill when shit hits the fan.

How do we still see a 59 year old man more fit for the military than a 25 year old woman? It's exactly as suggested, men are still the more disposable gender.

I think if a nation has no choice but to use the draft then it should be all or nothing. Given the way modern armies work, you can draft women and have them do jobs that aren’t necessarily close combat roles. Also for those few women who can handle the physical and mental stresses of close combat, no need to discriminate. Send them to the front.

You are not wrong OP, the sad thing is, even many men from Ukraine had been brainwashed and coerced into accept and defend the practice as it is, I've made similar discussion about this problem in the past in this sub (about the men from age 18-60 thing), and was feverishly debated by "~~stockholm sydr-~~ patriotic" Ukrainian men.

I now just gave up on this topic altogether (about Ukraine at least), however I do fear that when war reach each one of our own respective countries, identical patriotic/nationalist theme would likely emerge to replace any meaningful gender/sex equality discussion, and men will all likely be forced into war solely because of born sex.

Traditionalism/Conservatism are no friend to men, they exist to grant benevolent sexism to women (which is the source of Gynocentrism, while feminism is the result/symptom of Gynocentrism) at the expense of men (Just like the white feather campaign). Women can freely move to whatever country they wish in the time of war without consequences, they will never be restricted and judged by patriotic and nationalist idealism while men cannot.

Its like women don't have to take responsibility or involve with anything, they can (having the option) take all the benefit of what a country has to offers and abandon it when its in danger (Hmm, isn't this familiar? It kind of remind me of marriage, it seems that the Gynocentric system functions identically regardless of the scale) while for men are the complete opposite. Women can watch men fighting each other safely from afar and comeback later to reap all the trophies while also have the privilege/audacity to call men toxic, sometime you have to ask what is even the point of sacrificing for your nation in the first place as men?

Traditionalists/Conservatives/Patriots/Nationalists whom are so vocal about "responsibility" are nowhere to be found when it applies to women.

I had always believed the idea of "go to wherever treats you the best" (and I will not be brainwashed to accept anything otherwise, screw collectivism which almost always end up discriminates against men and benefits only women regardless of which culture), however I don't really think any place on the planet now treats men well.

I probably will get a lots of downvote for this comment due to some traditionalism mindset in this sub, but I don't care, as long as the message benefits men even a little, I will not be silenced, as this sub is the last place for this type of message.

It's a perfect illustration of why feminism is hogwash. It's not about achieving equality, it's about giving women preferential treatment in every situation. All privileges of men, and then some, with none of the responsibilities.

Not one feminist has made the call for 50/50 quotas on the frontlines like they do for corner offices. Now let's consider, though, whether a 50/50 military quota would make sense. It wouldn't, of course, even ardent feminists and their simp white knights know this. Men are better suited for tasks that require strength, risk taking, and making quick decisions under pressure. This is one of the reasons why, historically, men have held the majority of positions of power. I don't really mind that feminists are not calling for 50/50 quotas in the military, as they don't want to do anything that would be difficult or seriously risky. But don't talk to me about equality. If you can't assume the same risks, burdens, and responsibilities as someone else, you also can't expect to be given the same level of authority.

The question then is, since positions of power always largely fall to men based on merit, can we make those 50/50? My position is that we can't. If we abandon meritocracy, then high achievers will lose motivation. This is one of the terrible pitfalls of socialism and a major reason for why socialist countries are so damn unproductive. No one makes an effort, because it's not rewarded properly.

We can see very clearly that Ukrainian society, despite any problems it might have, has retained a healthy sense of identity, and both men and women fulfill their biologically suitable roles. While we can grumble that conscription is mandatory for men and not for women, it wouldn't have worked if Ukrainian men were not willing to fight for their country. Take the example of what happened in Iraq during the second Gulf War. The Iraqi army looked strong on paper, but when Americans came, they threw down their weapons and ran. Ukrainians, on the other hand, are more than holding their own against an army that is supposed to be about 10 times stronger.

I am really skeptical whether American society is not past the point of no return. Would American men still be willing to fight, in large numbers, if war ever came to our mainland? Would this 'diverse' concoction of people that now occupy the country lay their life on the line to defend it against a powerful enemy? If men decide that society they live in is not worth protecting, that it doesn't reward men for living honest and responsible lives, then men will pull away. Many have done so already. When that happens, society is finished. Over. Finito.
