Exactly. If I merely "grew on her", she can't be trusted for marriage. Once I fixed my looks and saw what relationships are like with someone who immediately found you attractive, I never looked at regular "attraction" the same way again. It's a WHOLE DIFFERENT WORLD! No more testy attitude, no more hooker-ish materialistic demands, no more picking fights, no more constant disrespect....it's a whole different world than dating a girl who only finds you average looking. If there weren't so many women willing to settle and prostitute themselves for the benefits of commitment, half the male population would be lifelong virgins.

Yep it's a very common and accepted thing here if a woman isn't ragingly attracted to you on the first date it's a lost cause situation or not worth it. I kinda agree really. I can't recall a situation where I haven't been ready from get go with a man I'm really into. That said, that's been with men I've met irl. Not sure about online dating.

I agree. The experience you have with the woman who’s attracted to you immediately will be way better than the experience with a woman you have to convince “grow on.”

Eh I mean I understand the trepidation but more so because it indicates sexual and romantic compatibility than anything else.

I was not sexually attracted to my fiancé when we met. I thought he was attractive, but I wasn’t attracted to him. I appreciated his appearance the way I appreciate a painting. Pretty to look at, not tempted to fuck it.

I got to know him and suddenly he was the hottest thing in the world to me. And now it’s been 6 years and we’re engaged and we are stupidly happy together.

Ex said she was attracted to my brain, as if that was a compliment. Really made me wonder if she even found me attractive. Made me rather uncomfortable at the time, though I couldn’t place it. It was more of an, “I like you for your attention and how you help me with my schoolwork” in my opinion. Of course, as soon as she was at fault for something major and I withdrew a bit, she ditched me after treating me like trash.

I agree. I've started dating women I've hooked up with and any time I was 'meh' when it came to their looks, it isn't going to work out for me because I'm going to want someone more attractive to do all that bf/gf shit with. I'll smash BBWs all day for hookups and situation ships but I don't want an LTR with one.
